I’m feeling a theme of transition. Shedding a tough outer layer to reveal the more vulnerable, true, and wisdom-filled inner flesh. And it’s good that we are feeling this now, during the dark time of the moon, so we can look, and be present with this vulnerability without allowing the rest of the world to see it just yet. Not now, not during this dark time. Only when the moon grows will others too be able to see what we can see now.
I am thankful for this darkness, for this moment of secret introspection and humility. Here I am, this is me, this is now, and I can see it! Can you? Can you see your self in the mirror of this darkness?
As with all new moons, this is a time to set your intentions for the month, to prepare and see into the future. Get a clear picture of what it is you want to create, and only then can you make this a reality. Just as the moon grows from dark to full of light, our ideas, too will mature with the moon. So let’s get super clear today, and over the next few days about what we want, and decide how we are going to make it happen.
Let’s be honest, humble and raw. We have the power to create exactly what we want, are you ready to make it happen? Just as we can envision the moon so full and beautiful, intoxicating us with it’s light (even though it is only dark now), let’s think of our goals, and the magic we want to create, as if it’s destinined to happen. Nothing can get in it’s way.
During these deep moments of vulnerability and darkness, we seek comfort, nourishment and warmth. Allow the release, enjoy it’s ease…. let it all flow. The deep scarlet color from the jewels inside a pomegranate seem perfect for today’s energy. I also felt a need to be comforted, and nourished, like mother’s milk, simple and pure.
I created this Soothing New Moon Pomegranate Drink and felt the comfort I’ve craved. And now I share this simple recipe with you, too, in hopes that you will feel this nurturing.
Soothing New Moon Pomegranate Drink:
2/3 cup fresh pomegranate seeds
2/3 cup coconut milk
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground clove
Put all ingredients in the blender and mix away! Watch the white swirl into pink. With every seed that’s blended a gorgeous burst of red pops before you. Enjoy the fireworks…. Bang! A new beginning. Drink it down with intention, and savor every sip.
Now curl up, get comfortable and warm, look into your crystal ball of things to come and enjoy this dark moment of truth, and comfort ~ back in the womb for today.
Much love and blessings to you all,
