Social Butterfly, What Mask Do You Wear?

By Caroline Diana Bobart

Guest Writer for Wake Up World

It has probably occurred to you already that you wear different ’masks’ or personas in your life. BUT, if you haven’t done a recent inventory, you might be surprised to learn that you have an extensive ‘collection’ of masks that together represents an entire spectrum of human emotion. From vulnerability to ferocious courage, your collection includes a mask connected to every emotion and fear you have – and every nuance in-between.

According to your instincts, before you even formulate a conscious thought about what you perceive to be happening around you, you instinctively reach for and assume the most appropriate mask. Most fundamentally, your collection of ‘masks’ exists to protect you and keep you feeling safe.

The Internet – One of The Biggest Drugs of Our Time

By Caroline Diana Bobart

Guest Writer for Wake Up World

It can seem as if you are in a twilight zone of sorts…a reality that is SO real but in fact is very separate from life in the physical world of people, human interaction and connection, shops with real-life shop windows, gourmet food, exercise, nature, human behaviour, deep soul-level emotions birthday parties, beaches and daily routines that anchor you in your specific corner of the world.

It is called the internet.

As a sole (and soul) entrepreneur who works almost exclusively online with my clients and students all over the world, it seems an important part of my own process to document my personal experiences and observations of my own relationship to the internet. In my work as a professional intuitive I speak and refer to ‘spiritual contracts’ a lot with my clients in helping them to gain a better understand of their key relationships. I have been realising that I’ve been going through a re-negotiation of the terms of my own contract with the collective consciousness and energy that is the internet and, as with any other contract, once it has been drawn up and signed I can then refer back to it in the future as need be!

Break Through Your Glass Ceiling!

By Caroline Diana Bobart

Guest Writer for Wake Up World

The analogy of operating within a glass ceiling when it comes to the degree of personal freedom, vitality, riches, nurturing community, meaningful work and love you are able to experience in your life is a truly powerful one. No matter your current situation, you can bet that you are thinking, living and responding to life within the mandate of a particular glass ceiling that defines, so to speak, the kinds of experiences you are having and who you are at this very moment in time.

Glass ceilings are comprised of both conscious and unconscious belief systems, the corresponding level of awareness and self-understanding they allow, combined with the quality, meaning and depth of the life experiences they create. As you move through life, they are nature’s built-in way of creating tidy pockets or compartments within which you work, play, live, love, laugh and learn according to the growth themes that are current for you.

Do You Love Yourself?

By Caroline Diana Bobart

Guest Writer for Wake Up World

Did you know that the quantity of love you have for yourself determines the very quality of your relationships and experiences? It is both a powerful and startling truth.

Your ability to truly be in sacred communion with yourself, your strengths, weaknesses – and the corners of your being you are reticent to explore – reflect the degree to which your current outer circumstances honour your most sacred inner self and truth.

What does that mean in everyday terms?

Being unable to love, accept and validate yourself, believe in your inborn ability to create uplifting, nurturing and loving situations with ease and live in a space of inner contentment and peace sets you up for experiences that cause repeated disappointment and heartbreak – experiences that speak to a mere shadow of the complete, capable, creative and intuitive Spirit you ARE.

Upping Your Self-Love Quotient Literally Changes Your Life!

By Caroline Diana Bobart

Guest Writer for Wake Up World

In these times of deep, significant spiritual awakening and shifts, where you have a wealth of information and resources available at your fingertips, it has probably never been easier to identify, honour and support your inner journey towards wholeness, healing and becoming a more aligned version of yourself.

In my work as an Intuitive Life Coach, one of the fascinating features of this pilgrimage are the many different levels and flavours of self-awareness and opportunities for healing that begin to emerge once you’ve embarked on this path.

But for all your searching, trying, and trusting in the promise of the vastly improved life that beckons, it is imperative you realise the mysterious ingredient that calls your REAL self forward as the protagonist on your journey is Self-Love.

Sadly, my observation of the women I work with, across the board, is that they haven’t ever really been taught exactly what self-love is.

How to Detox the Body of Heavy Metals and Avoid Common Exposures

By Marie Be

Guest Writer for Wake Up World

Exposure to heavy metals such as such as mercury (Hg), arsenic (As), cadmium (Cd) and lead (Pb) can cause numerous toxicological health effects, including cancer, nervous system damage, and in the case of extreme exposures, death. According to the Natural Resources Defense Council, “medical literature continues to support the growing association between exposure to [heavy metals]… and the rising incidence of neurobehavioral, reproductive, and musculoskeletal diseases”.

Unfortunately, we are all in contact with toxic heavy metals every day. It is in fact impossible to completely avoid exposure to toxic metals. (1) Even people who are not occupationally exposed carry certain metals in their body. (2) However, exposure to metal toxins can also be substantially reduced by understanding the sources of metal exposure and adopting strategies to reduce contact with them.

How Intuitive Are You?

6th March 2015

By Caroline Diana Bobart

Guest Writer for Wake Up World

I recently had a conversation with a young woman, a nurse by profession, who contacted me after reading one of my articles on Wake Up World. She wanted to learn more about how my work could help her release her deep pain from childhood in order that she could step more fully into her own sacred purpose – helping others heal. Throughout the course of our conversation I asked her, “On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest, how intuitive do you feel you are?” She replied, “Zero really. I don’t really feel I am intuitive at all”.

It was so incredibly interesting to see this exchange play out, not least because almost all of my articles speak to the fact that we are intuitive by nature and explore the far-reaching, lifestyle-improving benefits of developing self-awareness and intuitive skills. But there was something in that article that clearly struck a chord with her, and resonated so deeply that she instinctively reached out to connect with me right away.

So… There she was, following her intuition, but she couldn’t actually see it herself! This highlighted for me a curious notion I observe a lot in my work – that many people have a difficult time putting their finger on exactly what their intuition is.

Soul to Soul Recognition and Unrequited Love

25th February 2015

By Caroline Diana Bobart

Guest Writer for Wake Up World

Have you ever met someone and just knew beyond all rational thinking that you know that person? And that far from being a relationship that you can recall within recent memory, it feels more like an indescribable recognition that plumbs the entire expanse of your body, being and soul?

There is no doubting that this type of soul-level recognition is something that occurs at least once for most of us over the course of our individual lifetimes. The instant familiarity combined with the intensity of emotion that often accompanies such encounters can reveal itself through both sexual as well as platonic relationships when they emerge.

The Difference Between Soul, Spirit and Higher Self

By Michael Roads

Guest Writer for Wake Up World

You and I are souls clothed in both a physical body and identity. It is soul that is supposed to incarnate from one so-called lifetime to another, but the words we use to describe this tend to create a false picture. The suggested image is that we die, then through rebirth we incarnate onto Earth once again. In other words, the image is birth, death and rebirth, over and over. This image is false.

Body dies, identity clings, and soul continues forever. Our life is actually the continuity of soul, using one body/identity after another to continue our journey of soul growth, of expanding consciousness, of Self awareness. I mostly describe this process as a movie, The Continuity of Self. Who we are never dies, thus is never reborn, but continues on in a greater frame of timeless time. Soul/Self has no linear measure of time. Body/identity measures the passing of linear time by the ageing of the body, for physically we live in a linear reality. This gives us “cause and effect” and “polarity”, both wonderful tools for the growth and expansion of our human consciousness.

Career or Calling? Finding Your Sacred Purpose

By Caroline Diana Bobart

Guest Writer for Wake Up World

The clearer you are about who you are, the clearer you will be on what you really, really want – your sacred purpose – that which places you in the midst of life’s creative flow!

If you have been trying to figure out your sacred purpose – especially if you are or know of a younger person trying to decide on a future career, I encourage you to take a moment to really absorb the reality of that statement…

The more you can peel away from your identity the external layers of expectation, programming and even familial, societal or cultural fear we are all affected by, the more you are able to really get a taste for the unfettered truth of what makes your heart sing. In other words, the more you are able to consciously distinguish yourself from the identities, thought forms and expectations that are not you, the more you are able to experience alignment with your real self.

A Guide to Heavy Metals and Their Health Effects

By Marie Be

Guest Writer For Wake Up World

Everyday, the body is exposed to toxins and heavy metals, absorbing small amounts of contaminants. Not much, but enough that they can accumulate in the body. With ongoing exposure, the body can become overwhelmed, natural detoxification pathways become clogged, and chronic toxicity can be the result.

Heavy metal toxicity has a slow degenerative effect on the body. For example, some heavy metals inhibit the cellular function, which is to protect the organism from oxidative damage, reducing the effectiveness of this antioxidant defense system for detoxification. (1) Other heavy metals act as molecular “mimics” of nutritionally essential trace elements; depleting the body from cofactors essential to cellular regeneration.

Diagnosing metal toxicities can be difficult and is often overlooked by health practitioners. Aside from acute toxicity where the symptoms are apparent, the symptoms and health effects of low to chronic toxicity may often resemble other diseases.

The Blame Game – Is It Taking You Down and Out?

By Caroline Diana Bobart

Guest Writer for Wake Up World

The notion of “laying blame” is perhaps more complex and varied than we realise. Often it brings to mind, memories or thoughts of blame being unfairly placed on others. But in reality, there is a pattern that many of us repeat whereby we unknowingly blame ourselves for situations and occurrences around us that are actually out of our control.

This article deals specifically with the most common cause cause of this pattern: the perception of rejection that triggers a subliminal feeling of unworthiness in ourselves.

Here are a few universal examples that illustrate just that point…
