Affordable, Eco-Friendly and Energy Efficient: How Re-Purposed Plastic Waste is Helping to Solve Humanity’s Housing Crisis

“In Latin America, Africa and Asia 40% of people don’t have access to formal housing. In Bogota alone 750 tonnes of plastic is sent to landfill every day. It can take up to 500 years for plastic to biodegrade and 75% of plastic produced globally is either sent to landfill or not formally disposed of and so is left to pollute the environment.” ~ Unilever Sustainable Living

According to EcoWatch: Enough plastic is thrown away each year to circle the earth four times. Ninety-three percent of Americans age six or older test positive for the plastic chemical BPA. Billions of pounds of plastic can be found in our oceans, and all-out bans on plastic bags and bottled water are making little headway. To make matters worse, conventional recycling programs are ineffective at best; only two types of plastic are widely recyclable, and even then, it’s downgraded into other products which cannot be recycled further, eventually ending up in landfill, or worse, in the ocean, where plastic seriously harms wildlife, the ecosystem and our health.

A Comprehensive Guide to the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

What is the Emotional Freedom Technique?

Although it is still often overlooked, emotional health is absolutely essential to your physical health and healing — no matter how devoted you are to the proper diet and lifestyle, you will not achieve your body’s ideal healing and preventative powers if emotional barriers stand in your way. That’s why I routinely used the Emotional Freedom Technique (or EFT) in my practice, and most highly recommend to optimize your emotional health. EFT is very easy to learn, and will help you remove negative emotions that cause ill health, reduce food cravings, reduce or eliminate pain, and implement positive goals.

EFT is a form of psychological acupressure, based on the same energy meridians used in traditional acupuncture to treat physical and emotional ailments for over five thousand years, but without the invasive needles. Instead, simple tapping with the fingertips is used to input kinetic energy onto specific meridians on the head and chest while you think about your specific problem — whether it is a traumatic event, an addiction, pain, etc. — and voice positive affirmations.

How Does a Paradigm Shift in One Generation? 5 Lessons From the Psychedelic Renaissance

21st August 2016

By Dr. Kelly Neff

Guest writer for Wake Up World

We are living in tense times where the push for progress is clashing with the establishment and traditional ways of thinking. This has all got me wondering, how does a paradigm actually change? How do shifts in attitudes lead to real changes in policy and society? Looking back on many of my past radio shows, I’m noticing that by examining the emerging ‘psychedelic renaissance we can uncover some very valuable lessons about what it really takes to shift a culture’s understanding, attitudes and politics. (For more about the Psychedelic Renaissance, check out this book!)

Arguably, the strides made in psychedelic research and the push towards legal psychedelic medicine over the past 50 years (and especially during the past 15 years) can be considered some of the greatest paradigmatic shifts of our time. For example, just in my short lifetime, I have witnessed cannabis transition from an absolutely illegal substance, to a fully legal recreational commodity in states like Colorado (even though it still sits on the DEA Schedule 1 narcotic list). As a psychologist, I have even offered my services as a volunteer in the MAPS (The Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies) phase 2 clinical trials for MDMA psychotherapy, where I stayed overnight in the office/treatment center supervising participants who had completed the study.

Leaked Documents Reveal ISIS Recruits Know Little of Islam, Ordered “Koran for Dummies”

20th August 2016

A leak of documents earlier in 2016 showed that few ISIS recruits know anything of Islam – another blow to the Islamic terrorism and ISIS theme the mainstream media is so intent on peddling.

In a batch of leaked ISIS documents, ISIS recruits were exposed as people who have so little knowledge about Islam that some of them ordered “Koran for Dummies” and “Islam for Dummies”. The leak was another crushing blow to the Islamic terrorism and ISIS themes maintained in the mainstream, and provides yet more evidence that ISIS is not the fanatically-religious group we have been led to believe. It is, rather, an entertaining CIA-MI6-Mossad cover story whose usefulness may be running out. (This is not to say ISIS doesn’t exist or doesn’t really kill people, but rather that the whole operation is controlled by a hidden hand.)

It turns out that the ISIS recruits featured in these leaked documents have little connection to Islam at all, and most certainly do not have the conviction of belief to become suicide bombers or sacrifice themselves in this life to get 100 virgins in the next. Of course, this kind of deception and fakery (recall the fake green-screen beheadings) is par for the course for the New World Order cabal, who constantly need to invent new enemies to distract people, and justify harsh laws and endless wars.

Infants Deeply Traumatized by Common Medical Procedures, New Study Suggests

A concerning new study suggests that decades of medical procedures performed on infants without pain management has had deeply traumatizing effects.

A groundbreaking study published in eLife, titled “fMRI reveals neural activity overlap between adult and infant pain”, demonstrates that the infant pain experience, despite long held assumptions to the contrary, closely resembles that of adults.

Researchers discovered that when 1-6 day old babies were exposed to the same pain stimulus as adults, their brains “lit up” in almost exactly the same manner. More specifically, infant and adult pain responses were indistinguishable in 18 of the 20 regions observed through fMRI imaging. The only two brain regions that pain did not show activation in the infants were the amygdala and the orbitofrontal cortex: two regions believed to help with the interpretation of pain stimuli.

Do You Feel Like You Don’t Fit In? Here’s Why It’s a Blessing in Disguise

19th August 2016

As long as there have been clans, culture and civilization, humans have felt to need to fit in. Not so long ago, it was a matter of survival — people had to work together and have common goals if the group was going to weather the harshness of life. While we’re still interconnected in a variety of ways, our ability to explore our independence of spirit has become more accessible with industrialization. We simply don’t need the same level of conformity as we have in the past, in order to be able to protect, feed, clothe or shelter ourselves.

All the same, this newfound freedom has also opened the door to a crisis of sorts for some — the feeling of being at odds with society and not fitting in. As it turns out, this may not be such a bad thing.

Exciting times are upon us! With today’s Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius, the internal process of deconstructing the old form of human society has reached its peak. During the last couple of years the radical change and mutation of our collective awareness has shown us truly what our journey on earth is really all about for us — experiencing and exploring consciousness in human form. Having spent much of 2016 working to liberate ourselves from the prevailing (and limited) worldview, a new paradigm is opening up for us now, and today’s Full Moon offers its full energetic support to this transition, showing us the new horizons and new ways of being that are just waiting for us to explore.

Let’s take a look at the astrological alignments that are supporting our current evolution.

Zika: Brazil Admits It’s Not the Virus

18th August 2016

Amidst growing fear-based propaganda warning of the threat of Zika virus comes a quiet admission from health officials in Brazil: Zika alone may not be responsible for the rise in birth defects that plagued parts of the country.

While there is some evidence suggesting Zika virus may be linked to the birth defect microcephaly, and the virus has been spreading throughout Brazil, rates of the condition have only risen to very high rates in the northeast section of Brazil. Since the virus has spread throughout Brazil, but extremely high rates of microcephaly have not, officials are now being forced to admit that something else is likely at play.

Dr. Fatima Marinho, director of information and health analysis at Brazil’s ministry of health, told the journal Nature, “We suspect that something more than Zika virus is causing the high intensity and severity of cases.”[1]

Decoding the Social Engineering Tactics of the New World Order (NWO)

18th August 2016

By Makia Freeman

Contributing writer for Wake Up World

The social engineering tactics currently used by the NWO (New World Order) can be decoded, if you look carefully. These social engineering tactics are being used around the world, both internally (within nations under the thumb of this cabal) and externally (geopolitically between nations), all with the point of maneuvering the world into a centralized totalitarian dictatorship. The NWO controllers like to use a combination of tactics, but the bottom line or common denominator in all of them is the invention of fictional threats and the intentional creation of problems that don’t really exist, or that never needed to have existed. In other words: fear.

However, the crafty way these social engineering tactics manifest is worth studying and becoming acquainted with, so you can protect yourself against the propaganda and subtle deception which so easily takes in the majority of the world population – though hopefully not much longer due to the rising consciousness of humanity.

Why Working Less is Essential for True Wealth and Sustainability

17th August 2016

Consumerism goes hand in hand with the “the good life” — at least according to our contemporary Western culture. Massive advertising, securing the bargain, garage sales and credit cards are simply par for the course and rarely questioned by the average person. Shopping during our lunch hour is a national pastime, we wander outlet malls on vacation, and make online purchases late at night. It’s not just about comfort, our way of living needs to border luxurious. The yardstick of “keeping up with the Joneses” has evolved beyond our neighbors — we’re now competing with the lifestyles of the upper middle class and wealthy. It’s a vicious cycle — and we’re miserable for it. The environment also suffers as our material aspirations climb.

The reasons behind this shift are complex and sobering. But to expect consumerism to disappear altogether is unrealistic. We can’t just shame ourselves into reforming our cultural orientation — although, many have tried. Instead, we can generate true wealth — strong communities, a healthy eco-system, creativity and a sense of connectedness. In short, a self-provisioning, sharing economy.
