An Old Life is Going Dark: Astrology Forecast 4th – 11th October, 2020

October 5th, 2020

As you clear a pathway through the deep dark woods of October’s intense astrology, your only trustworthy navigation tool is your own inner guidance. Step carefully to avoid the traps and landmines of giving away your power to conformist echo chambers on social media, to those who need to keep you fearful or small or those who want to pre-approve your thinking as virtuous.

Trust your inner GPS – your Big Yes or Big No – a factory installed, fully reliable guidance system with access to real time data from way beyond your small Me perspective. Whenever a choice arises, listen to your body signals. If it’s not an absolute YES, it’s a NO.

From Sunday, as Pluto turns forward on the Master Degree of 22 Capricorn, we enter a time of pure karma and pure possibility as the old, the atrophied and the akashic dross is eliminated, when the Universal Law of Gravity makes itself felt. An old life is going dark. These are new magnetics and new encodements.

Amplifying the stationary storm, retrograde Mars in Aries makes a 2nd conjunction to Disruptor Eris and squares the Great Eliminator while Mercury slows to station in Scorpio opposite Uranus ahead of his retrograde on October 13th. To quote Nietzsche: “That which is falling, deserves to be pushed!”

  • Be a Truth Teller risking truth to power by cutting away what no longer serves
  • Eliminate and let go of anything no longer true for you
  • Stop the power leakages anywhere you are at effect, not cause
  • Keep your life simple – strip away anything inessential
  • Clean up your environment and your own ecology

As the 3D dramas plays out, keep the big picture in mind- in 2020 we are crossing a rickety bridge between epochs, not particularly safe or inviting, but the only way across. And we are now only weeks away from the start of the 2020-2043 Aquarian years.

The Chandra Symbol for Pluto Direct 22 Capricorn:

A bare altar covered with black velvet.

A greater power is at work behind the scenes here. That power is immense, world-shattering and with relentless fury, it will not let us be. For we are meant to be forged and fashioned into something beyond the grasp of our old historical self. We are being asked to supersede the old patterns and syndromes with something which is already well on its way and just needs our blessing to fulfil its cycle of deep change here. This is a decisive point, personally and collectively. It can go either way. There are good reasons to hold back, to hold out. Yet timing is so very crucial. At the last moment, when everything depends upon it, the idols topple; the power-heavy way of life is suddenly gone.”

The Chandra Symbol for Mars Retrograde conjunct Eris square Pluto 23 Aries:

A bottle labelled Drink Me.

The force of events sweeps away who we thought we were and plunges us to a deeper place beyond the known. The sheer immediacy, the sudden clarity shifts mountains of intent into a different octave altogether. Being taken by storm is the most direct path from here to there. And when cosmic worlds are urgently coming through, the only smart thing is to step aside and make a huge amount of room for unexpected guests, at events you could never have arranged in your wildest dreams.”

Aries Weekly Forecast: October 4-11, 2020

For you as a cardinal sign, October is set to be a month of important choice points as Mars travelling backwards in your sign meets disruptor Eris plus heavyweights Saturn and Pluto for a second time. This week, as Pluto turns direct, there could be chickens coming home to roost and certainly a chance for some serious re-evaluation of important goals. Last Thursday’s annual Full Moon in your own sign shone a spotlight on issues which need to be sorted. Do it now, just before Mercury slows to turn backwards on October 13th and make sure you tie up any outstanding loose ends. With so many changes going on-especially in your career- stay ultra-flexible, knowing that nothing is cast in stone.

Recognising what is worth keeping.

Taurus Weekly Forecast: October 4-11, 2020

Happily for you, in October the big planetary players are in your corner offering very supportive grounding energy. In fellow Earth sign Capricorn, Jupiter and Saturn are now moving forward after months of go-slow and on Sunday 4th, Pluto turns alongside them. Anything connected to studying, researching, publishing or teaching in any shape or form is being given the green light. Ideas you’ve been incubating are ripe for turning into a blog, a podcast or a book and your concentration and focus will be off the scales. If you need a mentor or coach, expect to find someone highly compatible. Smoothing your path even more, your personal planet Venus is now in Virgo your angle of creativity. Capture those ideas before they fly by, especially as Mercury is slowing to turn retrograde next week on October 14th.

Finding your true voice.

Gemini Weekly Forecast: October 4-11, 2020

The importance of other people in your life is intensifying this week as the Great Eliminator Pluto slows to turn forward on Sunday October 4th.Last Thursday’s Full Moon is bringing things to a head where friendships, groups and alliances are concerned. For some time, elements of an old life that has now gone dark have clung on past their sell-by date, including some people you were once close to. This might revolve around a group or faction whose values are now at odds with yours. Mars retrograde is breaking what seemed to be strong bonds and probably around a matter of principle. With Venus lighting up your angle of close family, find some support and security close to home. Knowing that your personal planet Mercury is slowing to turn retrograde on October 14th, let the chips fall where they may.

A changing of the guard.

Cancer Weekly Forecast: October 4-11, 2020

In October, with so much drama playing out across Cardinal signs such as yours, home is definitely where your heart and hearth are and where you are shielded from the planetary buffeting going on all around you. With the Sun in this part of your chart until October 22nd, follow your natural instincts and cocoon yourself as much as you can. This is all the more important as the people and partnership axis of your chart is highly active with retrograde belligerent Mars in your 10th House of career at odds with Pluto in your opposite sign. On October 4th, the Great Eliminator finally turns forward but kicks up a storm as he slows to a virtual standstill. All your one to one relationships, whether professional, intimate or personal ,will need re-calibrating. At the end of the week when Mercury slows to turn retrograde, make full use of your diplomatic skills to keep everything on an even keel.

Leo Weekly Forecast: October 4-11, 2020

This is not a week to leave things to chance, let alone cut corners, especially where your work and daily routines are concerned. Pluto turns forwards on Sunday and chickens come home to roost. In your case, they could be bringing you rewards for due diligence or for a favour you’d almost forgotten about. No matter how it plays out, be extra careful not to antagonise anyone as Mars is at odds with Pluto and just about everyone will be feeling extra-sensitive. Double or even triple check all your communications-texts, posts, emails, messages-before sending them, especially at the end of the week when Mercury slows before turning retrograde. Spend time with the people you can rely on through thick and thin and cement the ties that bind.

Be your kindest, most warm hearted self.

Virgo Weekly Forecast: October 4-11, 2020

Whichever way you slice it, this is not a good month for starting anything important. October is going to a tangled mess of crossed wires and confrontations – a veritable 21st century Tower of Babel. On a positive note, you have Venus in your sign making you and your offerings more attractive than usual so it’s a good time to go back to someone to showcase your current offerings. That said, your personal planet Mercury is slowing right down ready to turn retrograde on October 14th, so it’s worth going back to the drawing board to see what needs editing or re-doing. Gather more information, do some extra research and check the details and wait until November 4th at the earliest to move forward.

Stopping and starting.

Libra Weekly Forecast: October 4-11, 2020

Like the other Cardinal signs, change is all around you in October-literally and metaphorically. Fortunately, it’s your birthday month so the Sun is at your back infusing you with energy and faith to keep on keeping on. Last Thursday’s Full Moon in your opposite sign might have blown a hole in a close partnership if the circuits were overloaded. In any case, this week on October 4th the Great Eliminator turns forward alongside Saturn and Jupiter, suggesting some family home truths. With retrograde Mars at odds with Pluto, it’s far better to let the truth set you free than keep sweeping old issues under the carpet. Mercury is slowing right down ready to turn backwards on October 14th, so clear the air while you can before more wires get crossed.

Lost in translation.

Scorpio Weekly Forecast: October 4-11, 2020

In spite of October’s transformational astrology, your life might be feeling as if it’s in the doldrums or that you are on the side lines, looking on as others rush around like headless chickens. This is due to your personal ruler Mars travelling slowly retrograde until November 14th, reducing your energy levels and putting obstacles in the way of forward momentum. To slow things down even further, messenger Mercury is preparing to turn backwards in your own sign of Scorpio on October 14th.You would be wise to follow the planetary rhythm and slow right down, stop pushing forward and just go with the flow. Last Thursday’s Full Moon lit up your angle of duty, health and responsibility, signalling a need for you to retreat, restore and replenish yourself. On Sunday 4th, your other ruler Pluto turns forward in your communication zone-there might be some news that changes your approach to life.

Re-balancing your personal ecology.

Sagittarius Weekly Forecast: October 4-11, 2020

Despite the outer drama going on around you, you at least have Venus at the top of your chart smoothing your path and boosting your public profile and career prospects. Circle October 10th when Venus makes a wonderful aspect to planet of surprises Uranus-there might be some excellent news at work. Keep in mind that with Mars retrograde and Mercury about to slow down on October 14th, plans of all kinds may hit delays and glitches. Don’t shelve them but keep them on the back burner. With Mercury in your deep 12th House, put self-care at the top of your agenda. Anything that helps you relax and restore your batteries such as meditation, journaling or time spent in nature is good medicine for both body and soul.

Less doing, more being.

Capricorn Weekly Forecast: October 4-11, 2020

Recently, first Jupiter, then Saturn turned forward in your sign and on Sunday October 4th, Pluto follows suit. These 3 big hitters in Capricorn are endowing you with more power than you know what to do with and with only 11 weeks before Saturn exits your sign for Capricorn, you need to make the very most of it. This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. Since Mars is retrograde and at odds with Pluto this week, be careful not to trample on others’ sensitivities or boundaries, especially at home. Before you push ahead, get everyone involved on board. This is especially important as Mercury-planet of commerce-is slowing to turn retrograde on October 14th and, unless you have agreements in place, others may backtrack on promises.

Getting back to essentials.

Aquarius Weekly Forecast: October 4-11, 2020

With both your personal planets Saturn and Uranus direct and in earth signs, you should be feeling motivated and practical. On October 4th, Pluto also turns direct in the engine room of your chart releasing some long pent up energy blocks and giving you a nudge to do a thorough mental, emotional and literal de-clutter. With gentleness and curiosity, not judgement, ask yourself:” What am I most afraid to say about my life and what am I going to do about it?” When you constantly hide from the truth of a situation, you live with a hole at the bottom of your life which drains every ounce of your energy, enthusiasm and passion. Coming out of denial may seem scary but it’s one of the most liberating things you can do – it clears the fog, allows you to draw a line in the sand and start afresh. As one of the most memorable years of your life approaches in 2021, wiping the slate clean is the most important thing you can do.

Lightening your load.

Pisces Weekly Forecast: October 4-11, 2020

With continuous clashes across the dynamic cardinal signs, October’s planetary intensity isn’t a good fit for your Piscean sensibilities. If you’re already feeling stretched or stressed, find ways to integrate more time with partners, family and friends alongside some relaxing and regenerative body and soul healing routines. With Venus in your relationship zone, fall back on the support of those who truly care about you. Mars travelling backwards through Aries may be stoking concerns about sources of income, not helped by his harsh angle to heavy hitters Saturn and Pluto. Take the initiative by coming up with ideas for improving your cash flow and being ultra-flexible with how and where you work. With Mercury-planet of business-slowing to turn retrograde on October 14th in under -the- radar Scorpio, seek out and seal up any leaks in your bank accounts and call in debts or favours.

Take heart-your superpowers of adaptability and ingenuity have never been in so much demand.
