Dr. Leif Salford is a Neurosurgeon at Sweden’s Lund University Hospital, and a Professor and Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at Lund University. Since 1988 Dr. Salford and his colleagues have conducted many studies on radio frequency radiation and its effects on the brain, exposing over 1,600 experimental animals to ‘low-level’ radiation.

Their results over time have been both consistent and worrisome: Exposure to radiation, including that from cell phones and wi-fi, causes leakage in the blood-brain barrier — the brain’s first line of defense against infections and toxic chemicals. Some of the most concerning conclusions result from the fact that even the weakest exposure levels to wireless radiation caused the greatest effect in causing the blood brain barrier to leak.

You’ve had this dry cough for a couple of days but are otherwise feeling ready for your much-awaited annual ski trip to Utah. On the security line, an officer signals for you to come with him. Not knowing why you’re being selected out of the crowd, you follow, only to learn that you meet the criteria for quarantine. Sound like science fiction?

In what appears to be an unprecedented power grab, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) just issued a proposed amendment to its domestic and foreign quarantine regulations giving itself the power to legally apprehend, detain (isolate or quarantine), and treat (including vaccinate) anyone simply for suspicion of being infected by a communicable agent.

Parents have been concerned for quite some time about the various additives and preservatives found in vaccines — such as aluminum, mercury, formaldehyde, MSG, benzethonium chloride and derivatives of human tissue. With autism, developmental delays, food allergies, and neurological and behavioral disorders all reaching staggering levels, parents have an absolute right to question the safety of anything their child is exposed to — including vaccines.

So it may be disconcerting to discover that a new toxic substance has been detected in vaccines: glyphosate, the active ingredient in Monsanto’s herbicide Roundup. This is certainly one chemical you want to avoid ingesting, let alone injecting into a child, teenager or adult. Here’s why.

Climate Engineering Contamination: Staying Healthy in a World That Isn’t

How does one retain some semblance of health while existing in a world that has become alarmingly toxic and increasingly incompatible to life as a whole?

Though there are countless sources of environmental contamination, the climate engineering fallout is the most pervasive of all. I am not a physician, but I have made an effort to understand and pursue fitness and health since I was about 14 years of age. To some degree I have avoided previously penning this post because it is not my primary area of study. This being said, I have had many requests to outline what my personal health protocol is, so I’ll do exactly that. However I am not giving medical advice, I am not suggesting or directing anyone to practice the health/fitness regime that I follow, I am simply sharing it.

The criminalization of cannabis has led to the creation of a synthetic cannabinoid analogue black-market that is far more dangerous than the cannabis plant, a new study reveals.

A revealing new study published in the journal Clinical Toxicology shows that people under the influence of synthetic cannabinoids (also known as “spice”) undergo far greater impairments than those using marijuana. In the study entitled “Differential physiological and behavioural cues observed in individuals smoking botanical marijuana versus synthetic cannabinoid drugs”, researchers sought to measure performance and behaviour by reviewing arrest reports generated by law enforcement drug recognition experts (DRE) to evaluate motorists arrested for impaired driving.

Researchers used the following study methods:

A concerning new study suggests that decades of medical procedures performed on infants without pain management has had deeply traumatizing effects.

A groundbreaking study published in eLife, titled “fMRI reveals neural activity overlap between adult and infant pain”, demonstrates that the infant pain experience, despite long held assumptions to the contrary, closely resembles that of adults.

Researchers discovered that when 1-6 day old babies were exposed to the same pain stimulus as adults, their brains “lit up” in almost exactly the same manner. More specifically, infant and adult pain responses were indistinguishable in 18 of the 20 regions observed through fMRI imaging. The only two brain regions that pain did not show activation in the infants were the amygdala and the orbitofrontal cortex: two regions believed to help with the interpretation of pain stimuli.

5 Medical Hoaxes You Probably Believe Are True

5 Medical Hoaxes You Probably Believe Are True

The sheer volume of medical findings that have been published during recent decades is absolutely staggering. As such, it is difficult if not impossible to test each and every one of them independently. Many contain errors, or even flat out lies.

There are plenty of reasons why this would be the case. Chief amongst them is the fact that scientists and researchers need money to conduct their experiments. Those who provide the funding might have their own agenda when it comes to results, and will want the findings to reflect that agenda. In other cases, projects run out of funding, or need to be published quickly to secure more money. In these situations, tests are often conducted improperly, or the results are not thoroughly verified.

Sometimes, a medical journal will publish preliminary, inconclusive results that will get picked up by the media and announced as if they are hardcore facts. If the news is a hit, they will often forget to mention the follow-up research that proved the initial results were incorrect.

Edible Mushrooms: Nature’s Most Researched Anti-Cancer Agent

Edible Mushrooms: Nature’s Most Researched Anti-Cancer Agent

The power of medicinal mushrooms to heal, including actively combating cancer, is supported by a solid body of human clinical research. How is it that they possess such immense therapeutic activity? And why have they been ignored by the conventional medical system?

Over the course of the past few years, we have uncovered a remarkable body of research on the medicinal properties of mushrooms. Some of these studies we have reported on in greater depth in previous writings, focusing on how they: treat HPV infectionboost immune functionproduce vegan vitamin D3lower PSA (prostate-specific antigen) levels in men, and boost brain function.

These examples, while impressive, are only the tip of the iceberg. At GreenMedInfo.com, we have identified over 200 conditions that may benefit from them, as well as over 100 different beneficial effects they can induce through the modulation of various physiological systems and pathways within the body, e.g. immunomodulatory, anti-proliferative, anti-inflammatory. (You can search through the primary literature we have gathered on the topic on the Medicinal Mushroom research portal.)

Radiating Corruption: The Frightening Science and Politics of Cell Phone Safety

In an article published in the New York Times in January 2016 entitled “At C.D.C., a Debate Behind Recommendations on Cellphone Risk”, author Danny Hakim discusses the controversy surrounding the potential health risks of using cell phones. Hakim writes that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued guidelines recommending “caution in cellphone use”, due to the potentially harmful effects of radiation emitted by the wireless devices on human health. Included in the guidelines was information about reducing exposure among children. Just a few weeks after the CDC’s publication, and amid rising concerns about cell phone safety, the CDC rescinded the advisory completely.

Today, the CDC website takes an ambiguous stance on the issue, stating: “Can using a cell phone cause cancer? There is no scientific evidence that provides a definite answer to that question. Some organizations recommend caution in cell phone use. More research is needed before we know if using cell phones causes health effects.” (1)

SSRI Antidepressants Put Patients at Clear Risk of Suicide

SSRI Antidepressants Put Patients at Clear Risk of Suicide

It is now estimated that 1 in 8 Americans are on serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI) antidepressants [1] and a shocking 1 in 4 among women in their 40s and 50s.[2] Yet the U.S. suicide rate of 38,000 a year has never been higher.[3]

Clearly the glut of SSRI prescriptions is not lowering the national suicide rate; rather there is compelling evidence that the popular pills are actually contributing to suicide.

SSRIs and Violence

The first suspicion that SSRIs can cause dangerous and unintended psychiatric effects was a Kentucky shooting in 1989 [4] in which pressman Joseph T. Wesbecker entered his former workplace, Standard Gravure, killed eight people, injured 12 and committed suicide after being prescribed Prozac.

Futuristic Nano Fabric May Eliminate the Need to Do Laundry, But at What Cost to Human and Environmental Health?

Standard methods of laundering clothing are rife with environmental problems, such as excessive water and electricity usage, as well as significant pollution. So when researchers develop innovative new fabrics that resist stains and soil — or do away with the need to launder altogether — it really does seem as if technology can rescue us from many of the ecological problems we face today. And yet, there’s usually a hidden drawback for every technological leap. In the case of futuristic and self-cleaning fabrics, a range of health and environmental consequences come into play.

The problem with modern laundry practices

Even with notable advancements in clothes washers and dryers, there’s still much to be desired in terms of wastefulness. A new, high-efficiency washer uses about 12 gallons of water per load and 25% less electricity than standard models. Older top-loading machines can require up to 45 gallons of water, whereas newer models use around 27 gallons. About 90% of total energy usage for any kind of washer is due to heating the water. However, the biggest energy drain comes not from a washing machine, but the dryer.

Why Thyroid Health Is Completely Dependent on Selenium

Why Thyroid Health Is Completely Dependent on Selenium

22nd July 2016

By Dr. Edward Group

Guest writer for Wake Up World

The thyroid is essential to some of the body’s most critical processes, including the development of the nervous and skeletal systems.[1] For the thyroid to function normally, it must receive the right nutrition, and that means getting enough selenium. Selenium is an essential mineral[2] and being deficient can lead to serious health problems such as Keshan disease[3], myxoedematous cretinism[4], Graves’ disease[5], and even thyroid destruction.[6]

Although the body requires selenium, it does not produce selenium and you must get it through your diet. For most people, this isn’t a problem since many common foods are a good source of selenium. Additionally, selenium is available as a nutritional supplement.
