These eclipses are reminders of what Impermanence means. You “know” in your head that everything changes second by second but the sudden disappearance of the Light, the occulting, the overshadowing, the re-booting of what used to be your life, brings it home and make it starkly real. People leave, jobs end, passions fade, dreams disappear. Watch for sudden sideways elevators tilting your daily reality so that you suddenly slip and slide into radically new physical, emotional and soulful territory.
On Tuesday July 2nd, the first Total Solar eclipse since the August 2017 Great American eclipse severs your past from your future migrating you across time-lines and seeding your new potential. On the geophysical front, the solar eclipse shock window is active between June 25-July 9. With Mercury stationing in Trickster mode all week to turn Retrograde on July 7th, there will be more than the usual eclipse level of storms and seismic activity.
This is a New Moon eclipse, heralding new beginnings and new opportunities whilst closing down one whole chapter of your life that 18 years ago. For the first time since April 2000 – October 2001, whichever aspect of your life is symbolised by Cancer/ Capricorn is going to experience 6 wild card eclipses during 2019/20. Since the Solar eclipse occults Cancer, the theme of sanctuary -creating sanctuary for yourself, in yourself, for others and with others literally and emotionally- is going to be lifesaving and one of the most important future proofing things you can do in the 6 months to the brutal Saturn/Pluto Conjunction in January 2020. Sanctuary of all kinds is absolutely vital now, when the polar opposite of sanctuary is being acted out in the larger community through scapegoating, exiling, refusing refugees, projections born out of fear. The shaming heart rending image of a young father and bay daughter drowned trying to cross to America epitomises this collective shadow.
Instead of being caught up in the drama of eclipses and solar flares, ground your expanding energy field and embodiment. Create reliable daily foundations to transition you to the new experience.

Tuesday’s New Moon eclipse in Cancer is a double reminder that right now you need rest, recovery and retreat before anything else. Cancer lights your 4th House -the very roots of your existence symbolising home, family and belonging- heralding new beginnings and new opportunities whilst closing down one whole chapter of your life that 18 years ago in 200-2001. As an Aries since the eclipse is at odds with Task Master Saturn in your career angle, think about how you can re-balance your daily life so that work no longer dominates. Eclipses change your options in a blink of an eye by re-arranging circumstances around you out of your control. Get a head start by brainstorming creative ideas for radically different ways of living and working.

I can’t overstate the potential of this week’s, this month’s and this year’s astrology for you, Cancer. Not since 2000-2001 have you experienced a New Moon eclipse in your own sign and it’s worth pressing the pause button to contemplate what has changed for you and how far you’ve evolved in these last 18 years.2009 was the hallway point-a sort of course correction- so look for threads of meaning giving you clues about what opportunities July’s karmic eclipses are offering you. This is not about who’s right or wrong but about whether you want to be happy. Do this now, ahead of Tuesday’s seismic New Moon eclipse in fellow emotional water sign Cancer which is about to open your High Heart to a whole new level of connection. Events and situations will re-arrange themselves around you so that have no choice but to respond differently. By which I mean more empathically and with greater rapport.

Emotions- yours and everyone else’s -will be running extra high this week right through to July 18th.On Tuesday a seismic New Moon Eclipse activates your 8th House of shared assets, money and partnership, suddenly changing circumstances around you with unexpected knock-on effects. Meanwhile, Jupiter in your own sign is at odds with slippery Neptune, clouding your judgment where close partners are concerned. To round it off, Mercury is in full on Trickster mode all week before turning backwards on Sunday. Be patient and wait for the dust to settle. Take a long cool- headed look at all your agreements and contracts both personally and at work and notice where the dynamics are not working in your favour. Then restore the balance or call it a day.
