Small Cause, Big Effect: Astrology Forecast March 1-8, 2020

March 2nd, 2020

A heads up and an important reminder to frame each week’s forecast in the context of the much bigger picture2020 is bringing about sudden and complete change. A moment in our collective time that is permanently closing the door on a familiar past. This shift is taking us all on to a new time-line so radically different that we will be struggling to grasp what’s happened to our world and to develop the skills to live in our new reality. As the waves from the epochal Saturn/Pluto Conjunction hit downstream, through the ravages of climate change and the panic over an unknown virus, we are getting a real-time test of how fragile the world is- its delicate systems, its economy, its communities -just as our health systems have been systematically stripped to the bone and our support systems dismantled.

This week’s astrology is a perfect example of the phrase: ”Everything is over -formed”, meaning that there is never just one simple cause and effect but multiple influences leading to an event or outcome.

The karmic South Node of Fate is conjunct centaur Pholus in Capricorn and both are activating Chiron in Aries. Pholus’ strapline is Small cause, big effect” like the genie escaping from the bottle. Chiron sets off a crisis to expose the wound for healing. The lesson is learnt through direct experience.

Venus is very active aligning first in Aries with Eris, the Galactic Centre, Haumea and Saturn before entering Taurus on Sunday March 8th to conjunct Uranus and align with the Nodes of Fate. If you unpack this, it means: emotional issues connected to global disruption (Eris), epochal events (Haumea), and Karma (Saturn) leading to shocks and collective unpredictability (Uranus) all involving downloads of new information (GC).

Slow moving deep space planet Haumea at 27 Libra is currently opposite both disruptors Eris and Uranus. Haumea catalyses dramatic tipping points: for example, Haumea was active at the dropping of the Hiroshima nuclear bomb and the 2004 mega tsunami. Haumea brings irrevocable change – the sort of event there’s no going back from and which leads to change on a global scale.

The seismic storm window opens on Thursday March 5th ahead of the Super Full Moon next Tuesday March 9th. At the same time, Mercury kicks up a Trickster storm as he slows to turn direct at the Super Moon. 24 hours earlier, the Sun makes his annual conjunction with shapeshifter Neptune right on the Super Moon degree of 19 Pisces.

With Neptune-symbol of pandemics- being triggered by a Super Full Moon and aligned with Saturn/Pluto/Jupiter – expect an increase in the Covid19 virus numbers worldwide along with fear mongering, disinformation and widespread rumours.

The virus is more likely to impact our systems than you personally so make preparations now while Mercury is retrograde. When Saturn enters Aquarius in 3 weeks, restricted air travel looks likely along with an acceleration of virus spread at the Equinox and into early April at the first Jupiter/Pluto conjunction.

Stay on your Witness perch, keep your perspective and remember that fear is as contagious as the virus itself. Make being deeply present to your physicality the new normal. Turn your sanctuary – which you’ve been creating for the last 18 months during the Cancer/Capricorn eclipses – into your base camp.

The Chandra Symbol for Sun Conjunct Neptune: PISCES 18

White lilies blooming alone in the shade.

“Gifted with deep and subtle qualities that are germinating in the subconscious and coming into their own. Transported into inner worlds in order to dream, imagine, and conceive from a pure place. Disengaged from outer appearances, staying apart. Much that goes on here stays under, percolates timelessly. A special karma to cultivate the mysteries, to be different, yet no issue. Deep down in there, creative forces work unceasingly and design alternatives for the world to partake in, if the world turns that way.” Elias Lonsdale Inside Degrees

Aries Weekly Forecast: March 1-8, 2020

Until March 21st, the Sun is hidden in your 12th House, so your batteries are running low. Venus in your own sign of Aries until next Sunday is mixing it with disruptor Eris, not to mention Men in Black Saturn and Pluto. A reality check of some sort is on the cards-deal with it and make necessary changes. Expect to feel more sensitive and emotional than usual and put your wellbeing right at the top of your agenda. Life may feel frustrating but you’re incubating a drive for individuality that will surprise you with its power.

Avoid risk taking.

Taurus Weekly Forecast: March 1-8, 2020

Your personal planet, Venus, is at the heart of the action all week. This means that you’ll be picking up other people’s energies even more than usual. Keep clearing your own ecology-your thoughts, your feelings, your physicality, your space- to separate your own stuff from everyone else’s. As the Sun merges with slippery Neptune on Sunday 8th, believe nothing unless it accords with your own inner guidance. This will be enhanced through a series of lightbulb moments as your personal planet Venus conjuncts Awakener Uranus in Taurus. Others will be looking to you for advice-instead, be a lighthouse and a point of stability amid the fake news and rumours.

Remind yourself that Taurus is the sign of the Buddha and the World 3rd Eye.

Gemini Weekly Forecast: March 1-8, 2020

As the information seeker of the zodiac, you like to think you’re on top of the facts, so this week’s smoke and mirrors caused by a break out of fake news, rumours and fear mongering will be frustrating. Especially as your personal planet Mercury slows at the end of the week in Trickster mode to turn direct on March 9th, just as the Sun merges with slippery Neptune at the pinnacle of your chart. Much as you want to push forward, don’t-it would be completely counter-productive. Wait until after March 9th’s Super Full Moon in Virgo.

The truth doesn’t live in facts and figures.

Cancer Weekly Forecast: March 1-8, 2020

It’s time to practice your deepest beliefs. While others may be fear filled, stay centred and do exactly what your esoteric Cancerian mantra says:” I build a lighted house and therein dwell”. Translated this means that you provide emotional shelter and healing simply by being your true self. To do this, you need a safe and strong sanctuary- physical, mental and spiritual-in which to gather your energy, stop it from dissipating and attune to your deeply intuitive inner guidance. You are stronger than you know and more guided than you believe.

Your sanctuary is a base camp, not a monastery.

Leo Weekly Forecast: March 1-8, 2020

Make your memo to self: “If in doubt, do nothing“. This is invaluable advice in a week when Neptune is throwing a smokescreen over everything, aided and abetted by Mercury retrograde slowing to change direction and kicking up a Trickster storm. Venus at the top of your chart is amplifying emotional sensitivity, making others around both you hard to read and easy to upset. Better to take a step back, to retreat and to wait until the dust starts to settle after the Super Full Moon on March 9th.

As the old saying goes: “God laughs when he sees us making plans”.

Virgo Weekly Forecast: March 1-8, 2020

Under this week’s confusing astrology, you need to fine tune your super power of sorting the wheat from the chaff. This means switching on your BS detector, taking nothing and no one at face value and removing your rose tinted sun glasses. As a sign you are in the thick of it. The Sun meets slippery Neptune in your relationship zone next weekend just as your personal planet Mercury slows to turn forward, kicking up a Trickster storm. On top of that, the March 9 Super Full Moon seismic window bringing inner and outer storms and disruption opens late next week.

Wait until you know with absolute certainty what is going on before making any important decisions.

Libra Weekly Forecast: March 1-8, 2020

This is a week to simplify your life as much as possible. Streamline routines, cut costs, go right back to basics. This will make it so much easier to be flexible if and when your plans are derailed. Your personal planet Venus is aligning with several planetary big hitters, making you feel extra sensitive and probably overwhelmed by events. Relationships may feel more fragile than resilient. If so, be patient, you don’t have all the information yet and slippery Neptune is a master of crossed wires and misunderstandings.

Cut yourself and those around you some slack,

Scorpio Weekly Forecast: March 1-8, 2020

Whatever happens, just keep reminding yourself that nothing is going to be clear this week-or next. Things may appear to going in one direction then suddenly switch tack. Information you thought was credible turns out to be fake news. You get the picture. Everyone single one of us is in the same boat, so don’t take it personally. With Venus electrified by unpredictable Uranus next weekend, your one -to- one relationships could change overnight. You might wake up and smell the coffee and realise it’s all over or you might be struck by a lightning bolt of infatuation. Believe nothing, do nothing.

Twists and turns.

Sagittarius Weekly Forecast: March 1-8, 2020

This week and next’s smoke and mirrors courtesy of slippery Neptune and Mercury retrograde in Pisces will affect your home and your finances. This might mean literal problems connected with water such as leaks or blocked drains or plans with partners you thought were solid springing a hole. Although you won’t have all the facts until the dust settles in the middle of the week after next, ask for a definite commitment and tighten your boundaries around money. Shared assets such as savings, property or transport need to be protected.

It’s time for tough love.

Capricorn Weekly Forecast: March 1-8, 2020

As a concrete thinking Earth sign, you prefer to deal with realities and certainties. This week, the chances of that happening look extremely unlikely. With Mercury retrograde and the Sun conjunct slippery Neptune in Pisces-your angle of communication-you’re going to have to rely on your instincts rather than your logic. Ongoing disruption of plans and projects looks highly likely so postpone anything really important until after the doozy of March 9th’s Super Full Moon. If a close relationship becomes volatile next weekend when Venus meets unpredictable Uranus, wait it out.

Read the nuances, signs and signals.

Aquarius Weekly Forecast: March 1-8, 2020

As a sign whose personal planet is unpredictable Uranus, you welcome change for the fresh air it blows through your life. That said, you prefer to make changes on your own terms and to know what’s coming -quite a paradox! This week, with both slippery Neptune and Mercury retrograde in elusive Pisces, nothing is straightforward. Not so much information as disinformation and fake news. At the same time, Venus meets Awakener Uranus in your 4th House of roots and belonging and you might be freed from a situation to which you’ve become attached. Someone close could surprise you or circumstances around you change overnight. Whatever happens, wait until after the Super Full Moon on March 9ht to decide how to react.

A hall of mirrors.

Pisces Weekly Forecast: March 1-8, 2020

With your sign in the heart of the planetary action, you need to keep your wits about you. Disinformation will be rife, both in the media and from people close to you. Believe nothing. With Mercury retrograde, slowing to turn forward and kicking up a trickster storm just as the Sun meets slippery Neptune in Pisces in the seismic window of March 9th’s Super Moon across your sign, you need to have strong boundaries and a good BS detector. You absolutely can’t afford to bury your head in the sand. Luckily, you are an adept at people reading so switch on your X Ray machine.

Trust your own guidance, it’s 100% reliable.
