“Experts” Push For Lithium To Be Added To Our Drinking Water

Tap WaterApparently there are not enough chemicals already added to our drinking water, as there is now a call by “experts” to further poison our water supplies by adding Lithium. Their main reason is to decrease suicide and violent crime rates.

So it this how we wish to function as a society? Instead of dealing with our issues at hand, let’s drug ourselves so that we don’t have to deal with personal subjects that may be perceived as hard, negative or scary. This is not a time for putting our heads in the sand and pretending or even hoping that an issue will just resolve itself. Where is the personal growth in that? Don’t you feel elated when you resolve a personal issue that no longer hangs over your head or weights on your mind? It is more important than ever to clear ourselves of past issues that we have held onto and allow more room for the new energies coming to earth to take its place within our being.

What is Lithium usually prescribed for?

  • Bi polar disorder
  • Agitation not associated with bipolar disorder
  • Depression and to boost the effect of antidepressants
  • As a mood stabiliser
  • Sever Migraine Headaches

“Much like fluoride, lithium alters the brain’s normal production of serotonin and norepinephrine, which in turn artificially alters the way an individual thinks and how he or she feels about a given situation. Lithium is literally a mind-altering, antidepressant chemical substance that those promoting it openly admit modifies brain function. And yet they purport that forcibly inducing these chemical changes on the unwitting populations of the world is a good and acceptable idea.” Source

So what are “experts” saying?

“Lithium has been heralded by some experts as the next potential flouride, after scientists found suicide rates were lower in areas where the drinking water had higher concentrations of the element, reports the Daily Mail” Source

Time to supplement? Some scientists believe lithium could reduce suicide rates if traces were added to drinking water. The study, published in the British Journal of Psychiatry, analysed a sample of 6,460 lithium measurements and then compared suicide rates across 99 districts.” Source

If anyone still believes that adding fluoride into our drinking water is a good idea. Please read our article on this subject here.

What are some side effects of Lithium?

  • extreme thirst, urinating more or less than usual;
  • weakness, fever, feeling restless or confused, eye pain and vision problems;
  • restless muscle movements in your eyes, tongue, jaw, or neck;
  • pain, cold feeling, or discolorations in your fingers or toes;
  • feeling light-headed, fainting, slow heart rate;
  • hallucinations, seizure (blackout or convulsions);
  • fever with muscle stiffness, sweating, fast or uneven heartbeats; or
  • early signs of lithium toxicity, such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, drowsiness, muscle weakness, tremor, lack of coordination, blurred vision, or ringing in your ears.

Less serious side effects may include:

  • mild tremor of the hands;
  • weakness, lack of coordination;
  • mild nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, stomach pain or upset;
  • thinning or drying of the hair; or
  • itching skin.

Adding Lithium appears to be yet another way that our population can be “dumbed down”. Why would governments want to turn our drinking water into a chemical cocktail? Perhaps this way society we will be more malleable and less people will be concerned about what is really going on in this world.

  • This is just outrageous!! I am disgusted beyond belief. Time for a Revolution on all fronts!!!

    • cherry

      i totaly agree with u, disgusting la viva revolution.. !!!

  • Sandra

    You know I have a DVD called Equilibrium starring Christian Bale that is scarily familiar to the scenario being played out by doing what they are doing.If you haven’t seen it,get it out. Its a fantastic movie and is a warning of what is to come if we dont wake up and stop it now!

  • What is the source of this story?

  • The thought of adding drugs to the drinking water to control the populous sounds much like a batman movie plot. Not a good idea. If this is allowed, where will it end? E. nigma’s mind control box on every television? Scary thoughts. How much are we already controlled and don’t realize?

  • Brian

    Not that I agree with adding lithium to the water supply, because I have yet to read what evidence is being used.

    However, using the term “chemical” gives the impression that lithium is natural. However, it is about as natural as it gets, considering it is an element.

    That has an RDA of 1 mg.

    As you have pointed out, lithium can be dangerous, as it has a narrow therapeutic index. However, the likelihood you would get that high of a level is debatable, considering it is a component of dehydration, and the relatively low levels compared with standard therapy.

    I think my point is, you can’t use a side effect profile of lithium when you are talking about such low amounts. You could make the same argument for sodium, potassium, magnesium, and calcium. All of which are necessary for proper physiology, but in larger amounts cause many problems, or be therapeutic.

    • geneticus

      Arsenic is an element too, but that doesn’t mean I want it in my drinking water !

    • Talinn

      Our soil is so depleted of chemicals needed to make healthy food I can understand the idea. But better way to deal with minerals is to protect the soil and to encourage small farmers who preserve the land. Then our food would have sufficient minerals and we would not be adding these artificially to the water supply.

    The current fluoride is a big enough problem. Study after study shows it’s neurotoxic effects yet politicians and bureaucrats governments, for instance the state governments in Australia, justify it with slogans such as “it’s safe and effective”.

  • Another way to control, i.e. destroy the world. I fear, only natural catastrophies beyond human imagination will “fix” the problems. Yet, in the end, the earth wins, albeit without civilization. Still, we must try to turn things around.

  • eva

    I understand that people wouldn’t want to be medicated without their consentment. This is touching individual’s freedom of choice.
    But to say that lithium is a drug that artificially alters your way of thinking it’s to go too far.
    I’m bipolar and in theraphy with Lithium since 8 years, to make it short, my brain works much better with it and i can actually think much more straight, without all the urgency I had before.
    My life is so much better since I started taking it. Anyways, lithium is already naturally present in many aliments AND in water, in small quantities. And actually now in TOO small quantities – as everything in nature is diminishing. We NEED lithium for the electrical processes of the brain….
    this is something to think about before going too extreme taking positions.

    • Patricia Cooke

      i understand where you are coming from..lithium is a salt..that is absorbed my synovial fluid around sacs that send signals to the brain, and although it is used as a medicine for people with certain diagnosis’, think about what it will do to the chemistry to a patient who is without these disorders…perhaps they have already added it…some are terribly obese which can be a side effect…i have three pages of chemicals in my well water alone that are all within FDA normal guidelines..i cannot imagine wants in other water!!!

    • Robert

      Just as giving nitro pills to someone who doesn’t need it can cause heart problems, giving any other medication to anyone who does not need it can have various, possibly unpredictable, and potentially devastating consequences. I’ll just distill my own water if I must!

    • MJ

      Eva, you make the point. You are diagnosed bi-polar and lithium helps you. But if the rather larger percentage of the general population is NOT bi-polar (in need of chemical adjustments in the brain to make life more level) then it is the same as saying to a friend, hey, I had pneumonia and took these antibiotics, it worked, just take them all the time, whether you have a virus or not. What is medically/physiologically/psychologically good for some is not good for all. Period.

    • Katie

      Eva,

      While that’s awesome to hear that you are doing so well with lithium the problem with your logic is that it works so well for you BECAUSE you are bipolar. For someone who is not bipolar it has adverse reactions. You wouldn’t prescribe anti-depressants to someone who isn’t depressed or an anti-biotic to someone who doesn’t have an infection. That’s the main reason why putting lithium in the water to “help prevent” suicides is an assinine. For some people it may help, but for people who don’t have a diagnosis that could be treated with lithium, its just not good to subject them to that unless there is some alterior motive

  • Meagan Morrison

    This is reprehensible to even suggest, adding lithium to municipal water. With all of the problems in the world, I don’t hear any of my friends asking our government to put drugs in our water. Balance the federal budget first. This is not a priority. We have bigger problems, and to sweep those problems under the rug with drugged water? Please.
    If I want to take lithium, it is my choice, but I choose *not* to. Don’t push it on me. Drug pushers.

  • The Mind Review

    I just drink bottled water.

    • MJ

      Just so you know, Mind Review, much bottled water is simply tap water that has been filtered numerous times. Really.

      • Selena McPhail

        That is what I heard too about drinking water in bottles. What do we do then? What is safe?

        • Monica

          What you can do is distill your water. Or buy distilled water in gallons at the store. Distilled water is the best, purest water to drink. Just think why we use distilled water for our machines? It’s to ensure a well functioning and long life in them, right? So, our body is our most important machine. We should also give our body the best and purest water possible. Distilled water has nothing in it, just pure H2O, which is what your body needs to run properly: pure water without any dirt in it.

          Here is a great source of information about distilled water:

          http://aquariusthewaterbearer.com

          People are healing ailments and even having rejuvenating effects by switching to distilled water. Me and my family are also proof of that, since we started drinking only distilled water about two years ago. It’s the best. I hope everyone gets this information, it’s so vital now!

  • ColdTruth

    ROFL!

    ONLY IN AMERICA!

    They won’t let you do drugs of your choosing by free will but when the government thinks its a toxic chemical,drug, or vaccine should be forced on the populace-NO PROBLEM!

    Any see a sinking ship here? Wonder what the new name of a America is going to be….

  • Mina Moonlight

    There’s no real way around it unless you want to spend a lot on bottled water.

    Your dishes are being done in tap water
    Your cloths are being washed in tap water.
    Your potato’s are being boiled in tap water.
    You need to rinse your mouth with water after you’ve brushed them…this is usualy with tap water aswell.
    We wash our selfs with tap water.

    Your dog(s) or cat(s) drink tap water…

    Sure if you choose not to drink it…but it will get into your body some other way.

    This is a very sick attempt of the government to control the people.

  • Carole

    I wonder who the “experts” are? The United Nations or Obama and his communist backers that have plans to “reduce” the world population from 7 Billion people to only 550 Million people? I guess….unlike Hitler, they will medicate us before killing us! And what an easy way to control the masses! The government already puts fluoride in our drinking water! If you look at the ingredients in Rat Poison… it is the ONLY INGREDIENT! But of course…the government knows what is best for us !!!

  • Art

    No one seems to ask,
    “who, what experts, are calling for lithium to be added?”

    It don’t seem to be mentioned in the article who those (experts) are!

  • bobi becker

    This is another ploy at helping the “Zombie” state which is what the elites want. Control the masses and let them devour, (if you will) themselves and getting the population down to a controllable size. Clumsy them, as too many of us know what they are up to and there definitely is more of US than them…

  • Robert Mino

    Original 7up.The bottle reads:You like it It likes you. Contains Lithium.

  • ; – )

    Why not just send out mailing packettes of Lithium??? Maybe because “they” want everyone to become zombiefied masses?

    Also…How about dosage control? And how about MY FREEDOM to CHOOSE?

  • Antler

    you can create water directly from the air in your home:

  • Terry

    I was diagnosed with bipolar 3 years ago and was on lithium treatment and I HATED it! This is not to say that it would not great things for others. But whilst there are still those that it is doing more harm than good for it cannot be implemented into drinking water.

  • Cindi Spencer

    The good news is that it would have to be at very high levels to have any affect.
    Research Lithium Oratate

  • Chyrl

    So how much would actually be added to the water? Enough to make someone who drinks a glass of water a day to have a change? What if someone drinks a gallon a day? Do they run the risk of reaching toxic levels and no one would know why? Where are some more resources to support this information? I’m going to have to dig and see what I can come up with.

    • Chyrl

      Another thing is, people who take lithium have to have regular blood tests done to check levels and make sure toxicity levels are in control and liver function is still good.
