The End of Unlimited Resources: Astrology Overview for July 17th – 24th

This week, with 3 planets – Venus, the Sun and Mercury – changing signs and Mercury flying at high speed between Sun/Neptune/Eris/Pluto/ Jupiter, it will feel like Lost in Translation or may be the Tower of Babel.

But something much deeper with longer term consequences is at work now. Midweek, a conjunction of the Sun/Mercury /Ceres in late Cancer comes to oppose Lord of the Underworld Pluto in Capricorn. That triple conjunction is in a Grand Trine to the karmic South Node of Fate in Scorpio and Moon/Neptune in Pisces. What does it mean?

Ceres symbolises agriculture, nurturance and the cycles of Gaia. Pluto is the Great Eliminator wrecking old contracts and agreements. The South Node of Fate in Scorpio is humanity’s self-sabotage of the planet. Uranus/Node of Fate in Taurus is about shocks in the food chain. Neptune in Pisces suggests underhand dealings.

Putting it all together, we are having to face up to the stark reality of our usual reliable global sources of food and energy-especially wheat (Ceres) and oil (Pluto)- being sabotaged or disrupted, leading to ongoing crises in world- wide supply chains, which in turn means increasing food and energy shortages.

There’s more…..pouring petrol on this crisis, from the beginning of August, the very rare Triple Fate conjunction of volatile Mars/Uranus/karmic Node of Fate in Earth sign Taurus -which last occurred in 324 BC- will be squared by Lord of Time and Karma Saturn in Aquarius. Every single one of us will be forced by outer global and local political, economic and climate circumstances to change the habits of a lifetime, our lifestyles and what we have come to consider as our essential entitlements.
