The “Space Between Stories”

25th July 2016

Are you feeling lost? Uncertain? Adrift?

This week, I experienced a trauma that collapsed my story of self, yet a new story has not yet emerged. Charles Eisenstein calls this “the space between stories.” Many of us are in this space between stories right now, when you feel lost, ungrounded, dislocated, as if your roots have been pulled up and you’re not quite sure where to land. Everything you thought you knew — about yourself and the world — is now in question. Even our systems — the medical system, our political systems, the education system, the banking system — they’re in the space between stories too. We know the old way is falling apart, yet the new way has not yet been born.

As Charles writes in The More Beautiful World Our Hearts Know Is Possible: “So please, if you are in the sacred space between stories, allow yourself to be there. It is frightening to lose the old structures of security, but you will find that even as you might lose things that were unthinkable to lose, you will be okay. There is a kind of grace that protects us in the space between stories. It is not that you won’t lose your marriage, your money, your job, or your health. In fact, it is very likely that you will lose one of these things. It is that you will discover that even having lost that, you are still okay. You will find yourself in closer contact to something much more precious, something that fires cannot burn and thieves cannot steal, something that no one can take and cannot be lost.”

SSRI Antidepressants Put Patients at Clear Risk of Suicide

24th July 2016

By Dr. Joseph Mercola

It is now estimated that 1 in 8 Americans are on serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI) antidepressants [1] and a shocking 1 in 4 among women in their 40s and 50s.[2] Yet the U.S. suicide rate of 38,000 a year has never been higher.[3]

Clearly the glut of SSRI prescriptions is not lowering the national suicide rate; rather there is compelling evidence that the popular pills are actually contributing to suicide.

SSRIs and Violence

The first suspicion that SSRIs can cause dangerous and unintended psychiatric effects was a Kentucky shooting in 1989 [4] in which pressman Joseph T. Wesbecker entered his former workplace, Standard Gravure, killed eight people, injured 12 and committed suicide after being prescribed Prozac.

Are You In An Abusive Relationship With Yourself?

23rd July 2016

By Nanice Ellis

Did you know that more than 20% of the global population is in an abusive relationship with a partner or family member? This sounds like a big number, until you consider that somewhere around 80% of the world’s population is in an abusive relationship with themselves – and most don’t even know it.

The Stranger in the Mirror is You!

The best way to see if you abuse yourself is to imagine that someone else is treating you the way you treat yourself. How would you feel if …

  • Your friend spoke to you, the way you speak to yourself?
  • Your significant other neglected you, the way you neglect yourself?
  • Your co-worker judged you, the way you judge yourself?

Futuristic Nano Fabric May Eliminate the Need to Do Laundry, But at What Cost to Human and Environmental Health?

22nd July 2016

Standard methods of laundering clothing are rife with environmental problems, such as excessive water and electricity usage, as well as significant pollution. So when researchers develop innovative new fabrics that resist stains and soil — or do away with the need to launder altogether — it really does seem as if technology can rescue us from many of the ecological problems we face today. And yet, there’s usually a hidden drawback for every technological leap. In the case of futuristic and self-cleaning fabrics, a range of health and environmental consequences come into play.

The problem with modern laundry practices

Even with notable advancements in clothes washers and dryers, there’s still much to be desired in terms of wastefulness. A new, high-efficiency washer uses about 12 gallons of water per load and 25% less electricity than standard models. Older top-loading machines can require up to 45 gallons of water, whereas newer models use around 27 gallons. About 90% of total energy usage for any kind of washer is due to heating the water. However, the biggest energy drain comes not from a washing machine, but the dryer.

Why Thyroid Health Is Completely Dependent on Selenium

22nd July 2016

By Dr. Edward Group

The thyroid is essential to some of the body’s most critical processes, including the development of the nervous and skeletal systems.[1] For the thyroid to function normally, it must receive the right nutrition, and that means getting enough selenium. Selenium is an essential mineral[2] and being deficient can lead to serious health problems such as Keshan disease[3], myxoedematous cretinism[4], Graves’ disease[5], and even thyroid destruction.[6]

Although the body requires selenium, it does not produce selenium and you must get it through your diet. For most people, this isn’t a problem since many common foods are a good source of selenium. Additionally, selenium is available as a nutritional supplement.

Full Moon in Capricorn: The Space Between Endings and New Beginnings

By Simon Vorster & Jennifer Langstone

Since the New Moon, which marked the beginning of the lunar cycle on 4th July, our hearts have finally emerged from a long period of uncertainty. We have again been able to feel into the powerful potential our futures hold and begin re-shaping and aligning ourselves with a deeper sense of positivity and interconnection.

As we continue to integrate the transition from instability to a sense of natural order, the energy of today’s Full Moon in Capricorn is bringing the theme of this lunar cycle into full awareness: The story we have all been experiencing on some level is the re-alignment with a totally new direction in our lives. With the energies flowing and reshaping us so intensely at this time, is can be challenging to really get a grasp on where we are going and what all this is ultimately going to mean for us, both personally and as a collective. But one thing is for sure — although the tide hasn’t yet turned in the outer world, we are each shifting, from looking to others for ‘authority’ to living by our own of inner authority. And with that shift comes a renewed sense of personal identity.

Monsanto, Big Pharma, George Soros, and the Push to Legalize Marijuana

By Carolanne Wright

When it comes down to it, corporations have just one purpose: turn a large profit for shareholders. So it should come as no surprise that corporate America has turned its eye toward the wildly successful recreational cannabis movement. In 2015 alone, legal pot sales in the United States jumped 17% to $5.4 billion and are expected to grow 25% this year — an estimated $6.7 billion in U.S. sales. And, of course, corporate interests want their share.

But it’s not simply a modern day gold rush, many feel there is an underlying agenda at hand — with a few very wealthy individuals pulling the strings.

5 Things I Learned From Having a Chronic Illness

19th July 2016

By Christina Lavers

Seven years ago, when I emerged from the doctor’s office after having my worst fears confirmed, I knew that I had some big decisions to make. With the words “most likely Multiple Sclerosis” reverberating around my mind I felt shaky and nauseas. I wanted to crawl into bed and drown in a deluge of tears and despair. This was not how I had envisaged my charmed life unfolding. I was with the love of my life and we had a nine month old baby; this was supposed to be the happily ever after part.

That night lying in the bath I could feel my body throbbing with fear. My mind was busy fielding the images that surfaced and threatened to overtake me: the slow degeneration of my body, the social pity, and all the dreams that would now never be. Then, at one point I felt compelled to raise my arms in the air and slowly wave them around. Though I knew it seemed mad, the urge was strong and I followed the call. As I let a slow organic flow move my upper limbs I felt the first glimpse of hope since I left the doctor’s office. This movement that emanated from deep within seemed to calm my mind and made me feel that maybe this illness had deeper implications.

Mind Virus Wetiko: The Collective Shadow of Humanity

19th July 2016

By Makia Freeman

Contributing writer for Wake Up World

The existence of a mind virus that plagues all of humanity – every man, woman and child – at first may seem like a far out concept, but it’s an idea that has been around a long time in a lot of different cultures. Religion has grappled with the problem of evil for aeons. And deep down the rabbit hole of conspiracy research you will eventually get to the same theme – that there is some dark force coordinating the many nefarious schemes and agendas we witness daily in our world.

Although there are definitely outside beings and forces coordinating these agendas, including the hybrid royal bloodlines, negative ETs such as Greys and Reptilians, discarnate entities such as Djinn or Archons and some kind of self-aware AI, we ultimately have to ask ourselves: Is this evil actually a real force outside of ourselves, or is it rather the collective unconsciousness of humanity that appears as its own force and entity but is not? Are we infected with an actual mind virus installation, as the shaman warrior Don Juan of the Castaneda books suggested? Or are we facing the collective shadow, the disowned, unloved and unacknowledged parts of ourselves, which have been shoved down and repressed so much that they have become twisted and emerged as a monster appearing as its own lifeform?

The Evolutionary Intention of the ‘Pluto in Scorpio’ Generation: 1983–1995

18th July 2016

By Simon Vorster & Jennifer Langstone

Born between November 1983 and November 1995, as the planet Pluto transited the sign of Scorpio, those in the ‘Pluto in Scorpio’ generation are bringers of radical transformation.

It is really clear to many of us that we, the human collective, are experiencing a dramatic shift in our perception of reality. The way we relate, structure and create our future reality is undergoing a dramatic metamorphosis. The Pluto in Scorpio generation have come through at this time to help the evolution of the collective consciousness and aid this change in human experience.

The Pluto in Scorpio generation carries the exact energetic blueprints required to create a major shift in perception. However, in order for this experience to manifest itself from potential into reality, those in the Pluto in Scorpio generation must undergo a total metamorphosis of their own individual karma, thus activating the direct experiences and spiritual awakenings necessary for this new awareness to be anchored into the collective consciousness, and ultimately, into our physical lives.

In this article, we will discuss the karmic challenges specific to this generation and, hopefully, help awaken them to their important mission on behalf of humanity.

Forget Dangerous Pharmaceuticals — Here’s How to Help Heal Autism, ADHD and More With Natural Therapies

“It takes a village to raise a child. It takes a child with autism to raise the consciousness of the village.” ~ Elaine Hall

Healing Without Hurting

When your child suffers from autism, ADD/ADHD, anxiety or other developmental and behavioral issues, it’s easy to fall into the trap of a promised ‘quick fix’ regarding pharmaceutical medications. After all, you trust your child’s doctor, what’s to question? As it turns out, quite a bit.

Unfortunately, most parents are not told that these pharmaceuticals can unleash a host of unpleasant, if not dangerous, side-effects — including increased anger, depression, fogginess, as well as seizures, paranoia, tics and psychosis. Many times, parents feel these effects are worse than the original ailment the meds were aimed to treat. But this doesn’t mean you have to choose between pharmaceutical intervention or simply suffering through the disorder. A myriad of natural therapies and treatments have a strong track record of improving the lives of countless children diagnosed with developmental delay and behavioral issues.
