Nuclear Experimentation Year 71: A Shadow On the Collective Consciousness

A Shadow On the Collective Consciousness

It has been a year since my annual nuclear experimentation article. Time flies. My scale of time of course is ignorant. I cannot comprehend the complexity of time unfolding as it does, beyond my limited human imagination, and my ignorance of the ways of time is not unlike your own. And perhaps it is not unlike the ignorance of the nuclear goons of yesteryear, whose shortsighted planning for the nuclear waste ‘storage’ failed to take into account the life of nuclear radiation in human generations much less the millions of years that nuclear waste actually remains deadly.

Some people posit that one generation is roughly twenty years. So, about three generations ago the first nuclear waste was created and then buried, for future generations to deal with.

The Business of War is the Cause of War

8th May 2016

If you objectively and consistently observe the mainstream media and its interpretation of global events, its omissive and deceptive character soon becomes abundantly clear. This could hardly be called incompetence. The coverage, which is popularly called “news”, is in fact nothing but a propaganda mechanism, designed to persistently shape public opinion in favor of war.

Although most prefer to believe government propaganda is a thing of the past, history shows us that it is an inherent part of any wartime society, obscuring facts and motivations in favor of those who initiate — and benefit from — war.

Who benefits from war?

Why “Alternative” Media is the New Mainstream

4th May 2016

By Ethan Indigo Smith

The revolution will not be brought to you by Xerox… There will be no highlights on the eleven o’clock news… The revolution will not be right back after a message… The revolution will not go better with Coke… Because the revolution will not be televised. ~ Gil Scott Heron

Let’s face it, the mainstream media, like CNN, Fox News etc. are great at reporting on the surface understandings of surface issues; car accidents and plane crashes, shootings and robberies; as well as reinforcing why our latest foreign war is good/necessary/the only way to peace and security. But if you really want to investigate and comprehend what is actually going on in the world, and why, you have to go past the mainstream.

Just look at the countless global events being reported by the underground news and compare it to the selective, politically-biased fear-fare of the mainstream; there is little journalistic integrity on display in the mainstream media, just the regurgitation of B.S. And lots of it. Even the surface events reported in the mainstream are often filtered, distorted and even blatantly constructed by media corporations that conceal their corporate and political alliances behind the guise of “news”.

Oligarchical Collectivism: The Institutional “ism” That Threatens Our Very Biology

By Ethan Indigo Smith

Contributing Writer for Wake Up World

“There will be no curiosity, no enjoyment of the process of life. All competing pleasures will be destroyed. But always… there will be the intoxication of power, constantly increasing and constantly growing subtler. Always, at every moment, there will be the thrill of victory, the sensation of trampling on an enemy who is helpless. If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face — forever.” ~ 1984, George Orwell

Capitalism, communism, socialism, fascism, imperialism, corporatism, authoritarianism, monarchism, postmodern colonialism, and whatever form of government “ism” you can imagine, all eventually degrade over time to become oligarchical collectivism — the kind of ism that benefits the powerful few at the expense of the powerless many.

The Big “If” – What If Marijuana and Hemp Had Never Been Prohibited?

By Ethan Indigo Smith

Contributing Writer for Wake Up World

The Big “If”

The history of marijuana and hemp prohibition is a dark and shady story with all the makings of a diabolical thriller. In a dystopian world, shady oligarchs institute prohibition in order to benefit their institutions in the short term, leading to the inception of a police state in which sustainable agriculture is ridiculed, shamanic medicine is scorned, and generations are forced into punitive situations as a result of the plant’s contraband status.

Now, I don’t normally dwell in the “what-if’s” and rarely speculate about the “what-might-be’s” either; I think it’s more important to consider the “what-is”. But in fact, if we concentrate on the “what-is”, we can more easily ponder the “what-if” (our potential) and, importantly, more decisively define “what-will-be” (our future).

Fukushima: 5 Years of Fire – Global Day of Action, March 11, 2016

By Ethan Indigo Smith

Contributing Writer for Wake Up World

Happy New Year! No, I’m not talking about 2016, I’m talking about Year 5. Fukushima, Year 5. It’s almost 5 years since the initial meltdown at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear reactor, and although the disaster continues today it is not being treated by authorities with the kind of decisive urgency such an ecology-threatening situation demands.

It’s time for a change of course…

Fukushima: 5 Years of Fire

There are some events in history that change the timeline forever, marking the rest of the story for thousands of years. These events supersede all others before, and after, for some time. The Fukushima Daiichi experiment is spewing radioactive waste with a million-year ecological effect into the Pacific Ocean, nuclear disaster fractures the present and causes dire effects for the future — as far as humanity is concerned, forever. Fukushima is ground zero and time zero.

The Conspiracy of War — Power, Profit, Propaganda and Imperialism

By Ethan Indigo Smith

Contributing Writer for Wake Up World

“Since armies are legal, we feel that war is acceptable; in general, nobody feels that war is criminal or that accepting it is criminal attitude. In fact, we have been brainwashed…War and the large military establishments are the greatest sources of violence in the world. Whether their purpose is defensive or offensive, these vast powerful organizations exist solely to kill human beings… We should all be horrified… but we are too confused.” (source)

Power, Profit, Propaganda and Imperialism

With all the wisdom and knowledge we have access to, I simply cannot believe that the governments of the world are once again positioning our armed forces in a war stance. I cannot believe that individuals are allowing it, and even pushing for it, and volunteering to take part in its violent uselessness. It’s as if there has been a breakout of some terrible disease that wrings out moral essences, removes our impetus for self-preservation and instills a self-destructive hatred of one’s fellow man. There is no sound logic to war, unless there is something more we are not being told…

Understanding Ascension: The Geometry of Energy

By Ethan Indigo Smith

Contributing Writer for Wake Up World

“The key to growth is the introduction of higher dimensions of consciousness into our awareness.” ~ Lao Tzu

After climbing through the jungle, making my way through the grueling forest, dense and bewildering with trails, I came to a clearing on a ridge, on what I sensed must be the very top of the great mountain in the clouds. And as I made my way to the ridgetop and clearing, I saw that this was not the top. I saw it was beautiful and magnificent, but it was after all only a plateau. And from the plateau above the bewildering and winding complex of trails I now stood, I could see in the distance what could only be assumed at this point to be the peak. Perhaps there was a mountain more massive behind it too.

And on the story goes…

The Nuclear Industry’s Million-Year Waste Cycle: Contaminating Future Generations

10th November 2015

By Ethan Indigo Smith

Contributing Writer for Wake Up World

The nuclear energy and weaponry industries are signs the military-industrial complex is running at white hot. The inherent dangers of the nuclear experiment are the same ones that President Dwight D. Eisenhower warned us all about in his famous exit speech on 17 January, 1961 when he said: “We must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, either sought or unsought, by the military industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced powers exists, and will persist. We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted.”

But today, despite this warning, the nuclear experimentation industry is still shrouded in scientific and political secrecy, undermining our liberties and democratic processes and risking our health and our very existence in the process. When it all goes wrong — and history shows us this outcome is inevitable — the environmental destruction both of nuclear accidents and planned detonations is global, and permanent.

Tantra, Mantra, Yantra and Tibet – Where Imperialism and Spirituality Collide

By Ethan Indigo Smith

Contributing Writer for Wake Up World

The word ‘tantra’ signifies confluence and integration; a fusion. Sanskrit for “loom”, a device which weaves together string into cloth, tantra is an ancient word with many properties and uses; it has been variously used to describe the knots of strings weaved together in a rug, and the cord on which sacred mala bead necklaces were strung. (Mala beads are Tibetan prayer necklaces of 108 beads used to assist mentally or vocally repeating a mantra 108 times.) Today the word tantra is often used in reference to the union of lovemaking.

More broadly, however, tantra notes a mutually accepted connection, a tied knot of intertwined being, like lovemaking, but not necessarily beginning with or limited to it. Humanity itself is a tantra; a fused weaving knot or many strings.

The Common Origin of Religions and Theology

By Ethan Indigo Smith

The Brotherhood of Man

We are all siblings; a brotherhood of humanity. This is verified biologically of course, but perhaps more importantly for our understanding of one other, the brotherhood of man is verifiable in our belief systems, in our spiritual ideas that are upriver from the rest of our thinking, and our creation stories from which stems our very concept of existence.

Many of the foundational stories and principles of religions can be boiled down to their mutual essence, which inarguably reveal their common origins. And although many people frequently get caught up with the difference of the feather rather than the similarity of the bird, so to speak, the common origins of religions and their central tenets is proof that – despite varying ‘faiths’ – we are more alike than we are different.

Mutually Agreed Peace: Ending The Doctrine of Perpetual War

By Ethan Indigo Smith

Contributing Writer for Wake Up World

“Just because you do not take an interest in politics doesn’t mean politics won’t take an interest in you.” ~ Pericles.

Everything is ultimately political these days, but everything is firstly biological. Yet, ignoring our biology and our humanity, the military-industrial complex, with all its toxic modalities, still claims to operate in our best interests.

The fact is, modern politics has become the imposition of institutional formality where individuals and truth once were. Increasingly favoring institutional privilege over individual rights, politicians on all sides of the game act to reinforce and advance the standing of corporations at the expense of our physical world. They embark on resource wars for profit, destroy our environment for energy, construe zealotry as patriotism, and steer a culture of social competition – not cooperation – all the while hiding behind veils of secrecy and meaningless rhetoric.
