The Hijacked Mind: Healing a Society in Trauma

The Hijacked Mind: Healing a Society in Trauma

By Jennifer Deisher

The hijacking of our minds and our consciousness with fear-based societal manipulation is the foundation for many of our most deeply rooted beliefs and perceptions. The institutions of our society are designed to produce fear, stress and trauma via manufactured systems of power, governance, education, religion and finance (just to name a few) — all of which serve to propagate institutional instead of personal power. And, while we are spiritual beings having a human experience, we are human after all, and our psychology and biology play compelling parts in our behavior and reactions to those manipulative stimuli.

By having an awareness of how the hijacked brain works, we can learn how to heal and recover these sensitive “fear based” areas, deepen our awareness of our own personal evolution, and help to heal a society in trauma.

The Beast of Burden – Illusion and Deception on the Path of Enlightenment

Where else would “God” be found but in the service of Creation itself?

The Earth is a living entity and an intricate, diverse web of all kinds of systems. As an invited guest, we are living and functioning within her ecosystem because she welcomes us and allows us to be here. We are made of her elements and we are occupants of her Body and Heart. She is, quite literally, the key to everything in our known universe. She is under our feet and in the air we breath.

Our planet is our Mother, our home, and our Life-force. It doesn’t matter how skilled we are at meditation or connecting with Spirit because we always come home — right where you are right now. Through our relationships to the Earth, we find the spiritual and energetic connection that is available to all of us when we leave our hearts and minds open. That energy – the flow of life – is a continuous cycle of growth and decay, chaos and order, and an ever evolving ecosystem (including humanity) that reflects the nature of our ever-evolving Universe.

But, in our illusory co-existence, we have come to put a “price tag” on Mother Earth and on ourselves by extension, all the while forgetting she is the divine giver of Life… and she can shake us off like a flea at any moment.

The Medicine Wheel of Time and Karma

The Medicine Wheel of Time and Karma

“The only reason for time is so that everything doesn’t happen all at once” ~ Albert Einstein

Time in the spiritual world doesn’t exist as we perceive it on the Earthly plane. Spiritual “time” is relative to our karmic experiences and whether or not we choose to transcend – to live only in the Now and learn the lessons the universe brings to our attention, the “karmic wheel” if you will. The medicine wheel, as it’s known in Native American Indian culture, represents a karmic, peaceful balance with the Earth and each other.

The Medicine Wheel

We tend to look at time as linear with events happening one after the other and this is true. But time is also experienced in cycle. We may not find the exact same events or opportunities recur, because change is constant in the Universe, but we will find similar energetic opportunities are presented to us so that we may confront and release our karmic patterns and emotional triggers.

The Art of Life ~ Creating Through Chaos

The Art of Life ~ Creating Through Chaos

By Jennifer Deisher

Last night as I was sleeping, I dreamt that I had a beehive within my heart, and the golden bees were making white combs and sweet honey from all of my bitter disappointments. ~ Antonio Machado

There is an art to life and living, if we learn how to live it from the inside out instead of from the outside in. It requires the willingness to open our minds and hearts to our own unique, creative gifts. But, more importantly, it allows us the freedom to see through the matrix of boxes and squares and detach ourselves from controlled illusion of our reality. Then, looking from the inside out, we find that the reality of creation is actually beautifully chaotic.

Overcoming Trauma – Weaving Happiness Into Our Vibration

Overcoming Trauma – Weaving Happiness Into Our Vibration

By Jennifer Deisher

Happiness is a factor of life that is well worth striving for. The pursuit of personal happiness and fulfilment is necessary for us to completely embark on a spiritual path. Our heart, soul, and creative spirit thrive when immersed in the energy of what makes us genuinely happy.

Let’s face it, many of us have had our fair share of trauma, tragedy and addiction. Those who have experienced some of the more “hard core” issues, or are currently working through them, may find that sometimes we have to work a little harder to find our joy. Many of us have also experienced the emotional fallout from realizing what we sometimes call “the Matrix”. I prefer to think of it as limiting patterns of thought and behavior that constrict our true power as creators and make us believe we have limited choices and potential.

What we sometimes forget among the past pain and trauma, among the expectations and limitations, is how to simply make ourselves happy. For most of us, we have to learn (or re-learn) what makes us happy, how to pursue it, how to truly be happy, and how to hold that feeling in our vibration – and write it into our neural pathways.

The River – Navigating Your Own Spiritual Route

The River – Navigating Your Own Spiritual Route

No one can define the river. The only one that can define the other is itself. Life is the river.

The intricate river of consciousness is a stream of oneness that flows around us, through us, and between us. We are all diverse beings, yet through it we are entirely interconnected.

The river is powerful, yet its flow is always shifting and changing direction. Its energy streams out in the boundless pattern of creation, creating fractal after infinite fractal, but always flows back to the same single source. Rising and falling, like a pulse, it never stops flowing.

As we ride the river, it brings us endless opportunities to change course, to shift our energetic focus. We come to crossing after crossing, decision after decision. But the collective current can be overwhelming, so we often plot the course that others have take, follow someone else’s map, or sail the route most familiar, forgetting or foregoing the truth that we are all navigators, living only to experience the limitless river, our own way.

The Science of Miracles

The Science of Miracles

By Jennifer Deisher

The Universe is, by design, an intelligent Universe with math and physics being a key “language” to help us understand its laws and principles. The Universal Law of Attraction tells us that the Universe, being limitless, can’t differentiate the scope or magnitude of a miracle. A miracle is just as likely to be something regarded as small as it is grand by our own perceptions.

Let’s talk about how a miracle actually works, and why we should never put an expectation or limitation on the magnitude of our greatness, or what we can achieve when we “put our Hearts together”. The best way to explain how a miracle works is to use the theory of an atomic electron transition also known as a Quantum Leap.

Our Purpose is to Heal

Our Purpose is to Heal

By Jennifer Deisher

Contributing Writer for Wake Up World

There’s much going on right now. It’s easy to get caught up in the drama of it all. It’s easy to raise your hands to the Heavens and cry “Why?!?” or “Where are you, God?!?” Even if you’re awake and aware of the true nature of our being, these can be very stressful times. Even if you are one of the very fortunate people who understand that there is a Divine plan well under way, it is still a difficult time for humanity. We are all working very, very hard right now. It doesn’t matter if you are working on being awake or working on staying asleep (Yes, I see you “ego”), we’re all still just trying to work our way through the labyrinth of it all.

There are a great deal of atrocious acts being committed around the world right now, but the darkness always shows us where we need to find our Humanity, our Balance. Some of us are busy blaming other people for the tragedies that have happened of late. Some of us know that there are things that must happen for people to awaken and realign their souls to one another, the Earth (Gaia), God, and/or Spirit (depending on your unique expression). Some of us are questioning our faith. Some of us are certain we are on the “right” path to a new social paradigm, despite (or because of) the chaos in our world. Some of us are thinking “an eye for an eye” by advocating committing more atrocious acts to make up for the atrocious acts that have already been committed.

In all this confusion, it’s easy to forget why we’re here. Our purpose…

Diamonds in the Sky

Diamonds in the Sky

By Jennifer Deisher

A “diamond planet” was discovered in late 2012 and I’ve been fascinated by it ever since I heard about it – but didn’t really know why. As with most things recently, I wonder why these things stick out in my mind and therefore, what it was offering me on my spiritual journey. Then I put it together when I read an article from Forbes magazine about the diamond planet and the monetary “value” that was placed on it – $26.9 Nonillion (which is 26.9 followed by 30 zeros).

Here is a quote from the article I’m referring to “There is no doubt in my mind that it would be quite valuable for those of us on earth to be able to mine The Diamond Planet and sell its raw diamonds. Naturally, there is a question of whether all that supply could be absorbed by the market.”

It led me to wonder about our values: Is humanity so disconnected that we speculate about the potential mining value of a newly discovered planet rather than marvel at its creation? Isn’t there an inherent problem with this kind of thinking?

Quantum Mechanics of the Soul

Quantum Mechanics of the Soul

Quantum Mechanics: a theory of matter that is based on the concept of the possession of wave properties by elementary particles, that affords a mathematical interpretation of the structure and interactions of matter on the basis of these properties, and that incorporates within it quantum theory and the uncertainty principle — called also wave mechanics. [i]

Recognizing the common ground between science and spirituality can help us come to an understanding of what I call “the quantum field of consciousness”, and how we can use it to heal the soul of hurt and trauma.

First, let’s touch on the basic principles of quantum mechanics, which is the study of physics as it relates to the microscopic field. When we talk about ‘the observer effect’ in wave mechanics, we are talking about a very profound principle that sees wave particles change behavior based on whether or not someone is watching them. Think about that for a minute. It’s like the “does a bear shit in the woods” theory! [ii] But more importantly, when we become the observer or watcher of our own behavior, in that moment, we can also change the microscopic pattern of said behavior.

Embodying the Aspects of Our Authentic Self

Embodying the Aspects of Our Authentic Self

By Jennifer Deisher

Contributing Writer for Wake Up World

“If you want to awaken all of humanity, then awaken all of yourself. If you want to eliminate the suffering in the world, then eliminate all that is dark and negative in yourself. Truly, the greatest gift you have to give is that of your own self-transformation.” ~ Lao Tzu

The goal of Embodiment is to really come to an emotional and spiritual space of freedom, of Self acceptance, of conscious awareness of our emotional, physical and spiritual being. When we understand our own complexity, our own duality, and what elements comprise the Self, it frees us up to experience our own peaceful journey. We can Learn to take the wheel on our journey, in our own vehicle no less, taking the scenic route through Life while growing in emotional and spiritual intelligence along the way.

It is only by accepting the opportunity to learn about Self, and to embody our many seemingly contradictory aspects, that we allow ourselves to grow into the Spiritual dimension. (sorry – it doesn’t work the other way around).

We don’t need a psychologist to identify our “multiple personalities”, or to help us understand our Self. Understanding our own authentic path starts and ends with us. Within each of us is Me, Myself, and I. They are all Present at different levels in our Life and, most certainly, in our Reality. Our Spirit, and our access to Spiritual dimensions, is within each and every one of us to access, and we find it by way of the symbiotic relationship between impulse, emotion and Spirit – the trinity of Me, Myself, and I.

So let’s talk about who’s who in this equation…

Stop, Look and Listen: Healing a Society in Denial

Stop, Look and Listen: Healing a Society in Denial

By Jennifer Deisher

Beliefs can become patterns if you hold them long enough. People don’t like to have their belief systems challenged as sometimes they are the very foundation used to “survive”, emotionally speaking. Today, something is obviously not working, yet we still struggle with the idea of confronting and releasing our old conditioning and beliefs, healing, and making real change.

At this point in humanity’s history it seems that there are many who are desperately hanging on to an antiquated social belief system, many aspects of which they don’t even realize exist or affect them. Our social programming goes very, very deep; it is attached to our sense of Value, and Self. And it is in the shedding of this outdated programming that we find the ability to expand on the Heart and our relationship with Self, and know what is best for each of us individually, and authentically.

I see people everywhere who are beginning to awaken to the world around them and, as much as I try to avoid labels, many experiencing a kind of ‘Stockholm Syndrome’; the psychological state of identifying with one’s “oppressor”, in whatever form that oppressor takes. It could be in the form of a physically or emotionally abusive relationship, or addiction. It could be the controlling societal conditioning we have been subjected to or the lip service we’ve accepted from our “governments” who falsely tell us they have our best interests at Heart. It may be any any imposing influence that leave us feeling “less than” in some way.
