Full Moon in Gemini – A Thousand Shards of You (Integration)

Recent energy patterns have been intense, beckoning us to connect with our ourselves and our deepest truth in the here and now, and to live from a place of instinct and pure being — a place from which our truth becomes our reality. As a result we have begun to experience the positive effects in our lives of allowing consciousness to guide us, as well as the challenges that come with learning to live our lives from that space (something that has required an extensive process of deconditioning within us.)

Now, as the energy of today’s Full Moon in Gemini takes shape, that narrative continues, only now, on an inward not outward trajectory. Having begun to experience our truths play out in living fullness, we are being asked to reflect on the big picture of our lives and our direction — to contemplate inwardly what we are creating in that bigger picture and how we can integrate those pieces of our creation into our newly realigned lives.

Let’s look at the energy patterns of the Full Moon and the energies that will shape our evolution during this coming lunar cycle.

Seeking and gathering.

Creating new waves and passing out the old ways — this is the theme of this full moon in Gemini. What is most significant about this Full Moon is that Mercury, the messenger of the zodiac, is taking a break for a while, moving into a retrograde motion as the Full Moon takes effect.

Whenever Mercury goes retrograde (this time, from December 3rd until December 22nd) we experience a fragmentation in communication. At a deeper level, however, what is really occurring during these times is that our logical minds surrender to the process of deep intuitive insights. The difficulty we experience with clarity and communication is simply a symptom of this process of Mercury, which reflects how we gather and process information, going deeper into the intuitive realms. With Mercury currently placed in Sagittarius alongside the Sun and Saturn, the Sagittarian archetype of self-exploration at its deepest levels is certainly amplified during this time.

While this occurs, a tension alignment between the Sun (in Sagittarius), the Moon (in Gemini) and Neptune (in Pisces) will enable some profound shifts in our thinking, so it is not smooth sailing ahead. However this combination of energies offers us a clear invitation — to shift out of old thinking patterns and into an openness, curiosity and a sense of adventure.

If we are to experience more aliveness and fulfillment in our lives, we need to embrace this next shift with open arms. Continue to operate from a place of truth, and allow yourself to be open to new choices and opportunities, however unfamiliar they may feel. The energy that you invest now will begin to form completely and be totally visible by the beginning of January 2018.

The support cast.

Supporting the internal shift at this point comes the harmonic trine alignment between Jupiter in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces. This energy pattern promotes and supports our desires to heal from the trauma of separation and form new regenerative beliefs tha tallows us to breathe life into our own creative expression.

Mercury’s trine to Uranus fills brings sudden shocks and insights into our lives that helps us form new dendrites — Our brains are literally being reforms with this energy pattern. The invitation offered by this energy is to open our minds to new potentials.

At the same time, another powerful trine will be forming between Chiron in Pisces and Venus in Sagittarius. The support this patterns offers us runs extremely deep. Each of us carries a deep sensitivity to the pain of being separated from the feelings of acceptance, being embraced for who we are and what we wish to express in the world. Our world and everyone in it has been tortured by our separation from warmth, true acceptance of individuality and expression, and the higher nourishing principles that promote life rather than repress it. Now, Venus in Sagittarius invites us to heal the parts of us that have been rejected through these internalised belief.

This is a time to find our connection to what is natural for us and to hold space for that healing to take place. In particular, Chiron in Pisces supports this path by showing us the path to holistic healing.

Internal Adjustments.

Helping us build and establish strong foundations for our future are the series of inconjuncts happening between Mars in Libra to Chiron in Pisces, the Moon in Gemini to Jupiter in Scorpio, and Pluto in Capricorn to the North Node in Leo.

In astrology, an inconjunct angle reflects an energy pattern of growth and adjustment through crisis. This kind of angle forms a blind spot between the two planets and so we lose connection and communication with them. In turn, we experience events in our lives that adjust our ways of thinking and perceiving.

With the inconjunct currently forming between Mars (reflecting instinct) and Chiron (reflecting wounds and healing), we are invited to see how our past energetic wounds and emotional traumas help us to form new patterns of empowerment. In essence, this formation asks us to work through and release any patterns of self-deception. Meanwhile, with the Moon inconjunct to Jupiter, we can expect to see how we misidentify patterns of beliefs about certain attachments, while with Pluto’s inconjunct to the North Node, we are invited see that by reshaping our mental patterns and adjusting and letting go of the reality that they hold for us, we will be liberated and free from limiting feelings and opportunities of creative expression.

Full Moon Message: A thousand shards of you.

As soon as we come into our physical form, we begin our journey of self-realisation. We begin to seek the wholeness which we have seemingly separated from by being in this physical form.

As source energy incarnated, we can never truly be fragmented or un-whole, but so much of what we seek in our physical reality lies beyond what our logical minds can perceive and beyond our physical senses. However this doesn’t mean that we can’t find the wholeness we are seeking through the physical realm — rather, this reality is the very mirror to our souls through which we may rediscover our inherent wholeness.

Imagine that we are looking at ourselves in a shattered mirror. We find shards as we move through life which give us a more complete reflection of who we are as we go along. Initially in our early life, there is very little we know and see in ourselves so those who care for us become the reflection we see in ourselves — and this is how we become conditioned to believe we are we are things we are not. From that perspective, our journey of de-conditioning is actually one of finding pieces of the shattered mirror, of seeking and finding our true reflection. We find pieces of that mirror in everything we seek, attract and desire, even the less desirable aspects we find ourselves and attract into our lives help to bring us toward seeing our inherent wholeness. Our relationships, the people we are attracted to, the work we do and all of our experiences are all little pieces of that mirror.

When we feel shattered within ourselves, it is a calling to look at the reflection of ourselves that life is revealing to us; to find deeper levels of wholeness by integrating those pieces into ourselves; to put the shards of our mirror back into place so that our reflection becomes more whole, and we can see our true self more clearly.

So today, as the Full Moon in Gemini shares its light with us, we are inviting you to take a 360 degree view of your life’s reflection right now, and to contemplate what you are seeking in that picture and how you can integrate what you are seeking for deeper levels of wholeness and being. Ask yourself: How can you love and honour yourself more deeply through your experiences? How can you be more understanding and compassionate of yourself, and create the life that makes your heart sing?

As you bring deeper levels of love and compassion into yourself, so too will you find deeper levels of love and compassion in everything around you — as within, so without. That is the nature of our ‘mirror’ reality.

Look into the mirror.

See your beauty, see your strength and your magic — for you are magnificent!

With love,
Simon & Jennifer
