[This is the last in a series of seven articles – the first step is here]

7 steps. 7 teachings. Are you willing? Are you worth it? Of course, you are!

So what is step 7?

Over many years of teaching and listening for thousands of hours, I offer this advice.

Don’t use someone else’s theory with someone else words trying to have someone else’s experiences ultimately trying to live someone else’s life.

Speak to yourself with your words about your life and your choices and what you want to experience.

Stop dragging your past around like a medal of dishonor as proof of what doesn’t work.

Let go through the wisdom of forgiveness.

We all have been catapulted into a new reality. What we do with this is completely up to us. We have all been affected by the changes that have taken place and continue to happen on a regular basis.

Based on current events we journey together into the unknown, a journey with different rules and regulations. A journey that will test our ability to find ourselves within the madness that’s all around us.

There is no single tool, technique, or recipe that will work for everyone. There is no magic pill or secret society.

Every great teacher has taught that the magic is in the journey, not the destination. That personal fulfillment happens when we fall in love with our own journey.

Human life is about exploration.

Human life is about adventure.

Human life is about growth.

There is no final destination that when you arrive there (where ever there is) you would be rewarded with something outside of self that will fill up your emptiness. It’s just not going to happen. It cannot happen because the frequencies are different.

First and foremost nothing outside of self can ever fill our internal void. We must take full responsibility and go for it. When we realize that personal balance comes from the continuation of our journey, not separate from it.

Can you remember your dreams? Before the pollution of social conditioning, religion, and burden with family pressure changed them?

Try this:

Remember a strong dream/desire when you were younger.

Remember what it felt like to actually have passion and energy behind an idea.

Breathe deeply

Now how would that dream translate into today’s reality?

What would it look like?

Breathe deeply

How would you feel if that dream was realized?

Breathe deeply

Would you take it to create that now?

Breathe deeply, relax.

What happened? Was there a spark?

Be forewarned, to create, design, manufacture, a life worth living it takes work, awareness, and choice. That’s why our deeper contact with ourselves is invaluable, helping us come to know what hidden shapes are there so that we can change our choices to move beyond the barrier that has kept us trapped in mediocrity.

If there is magic it happens as a result of responding to life with clear choice and adventurous spirit. Taking responsibility for our choices even when they don’t give us the outcome we wanted. We must allow space daily to stretch the boundaries of our belief systems, to see what we want.

We need to remember also that as much as self-love can change our life and our health for the positive, the same holds true on the opposite side of the coin. If we don’t follow through after we have promised our self, the negative aspect gains power respectively, thus greatly diminishing our ability to heal and shape our lives.

This is a highly personal and delicate part of this process. We need to learn we are not victims of anything. That we indeed do create our life’s experiences.

If there is something ‘magical’ it’s when one can draw strength and knowledge from every experience they have instead of allowing those experiences to overwhelm them.

Every new day could be in this way a fresh promise for everything we haven’t achieved yet. Children know that. We, adults, need to be reminded now and then.
