Alongside good food, we often value relationships and communication as essential elements for the nourishment of our mental health and well-being. Undoubtedly, these are important facets in our continued drive for optimal wellness – after all, we are social beings.
On the other hand, they are not the only components we should apply in the realm of communication. We currently live in a time were communication is ever-increasing; tools such as the internet and social networking programs have revolutionized the way we interact. Without a doubt, this new age of communiqué has brought people together from many reaches of the world; however, as we have increased the use of such tools, other communication elements have withered.

What Does it Mean to Let Go?
May 3rd
By Chris Bourne
Contributing Writer for Wake Up World
In the shift of Human Consciousness we’re often talking about ‘letting go’. But what does it mean? How do we truly let go? In the coaching that I do, I often find there’s a subtle inner program that makes people want to avoid challenging and difficult circumstances. It’s certainly a conditioning from society. To me, true letting go, is a continual process of confrontation of the moment and surrendering into what we really feel…
Surrender is not blind acceptance
Another term that often get’s spoken of in spiritual circles is that of ‘acceptance’ – accepting totally without reservation what appears on our landscape. I agree with this whole-heartedly, but what actually IS appearing on your consciousness landscape?
Again we have to be careful of avoidance here. Some will say “if it doesn’t feel right, then don’t do it. If it doesn’t flow, then it can’t be coming from the soul. So just let go and do something else.”
“But sometimes to be in the flow is for nothing to be flowing at all.”It could be that resistance in the field is exactly what we need to discover a new facet of beingness.

The Heart Sends More Information to the Brain Than the Brain Sends to the Heart
May 3rd
An Appreciative Heart is Good Medicine
Psychologists once maintained that emotions were purely mental expressions generated by the brain alone. We now know this is not true. Emotions have as much to do with the heart and body as they do with the brain. Of all your body’s organs, it is the heart, a growing number of scientists theorize, that plays perhaps the most important role in our emotional experience. What we experience as an emotion is the result of the brain, heart, and body acting in concert.
Since its founding in 1991, HeartMath has been dedicated to decoding the underlying mechanics of stress. IHM’s Research Center is committed to the study of the heart and the physiology of emotions and has conducted many studies that identified the relationship between emotions and the heart. A number of HeartMath’s studies have contributed new insight to the scientific community’s understanding of how heart activity is linked to our emotions and health, vitality and well-being.

Random Evolution – Yet Another “Scientific” Dogma
Apr 23rd
Guest Writer for Wake Up World
Too many of today’s “scientific truths” remain unquestioned, and, in reality, they’re not truths at all, they are interpretations, assumptions and dogmatic beliefs. One such case is the doctrine of evolution as a random process in which genetic mutations occur more or less according to chance, and, if an organism is lucky, it gets the right mutation and survives. Sort of like winning some type of lottery jackpot.
No matter how widespread this belief is, there is no evidence that genetic mutations are random. Quite the contrary. Take a look at nature and you’ll see that there is no rational way to account for the astonishing development of species by using the theory of random mutations.

Critical Mass Approaching – The Shift Has Hit The Fan
Apr 21st
By Zen Gardner
The warnings and revelations of truth regarding current events that the alternative community is exposing are having a profound effect. This uncensored research is based on real history, news trends, accumulated information, knowledge of the occult such as ritual dates, numerology and other esoteric sciences as well as intuitive, conscious understandings.
The massive vibrational change of consciousness is palpable.
And it’s getting to them. It’s never been easy to quantify, but we’re starting to get proof positive on a massive scale. One of the best examples is this Kony 2012 phenomenon that literally backfired right in the smug elites’ faces. A young demographic comprised of millions worldwide latched on to the cause and then sussed it out almost immediately. Fantastic. We need to take that awareness and apply that as direct knowledge on other fronts. The walls are coming down.

The Astonishing Geometry Of Nature

Guest Writer for Wake Up World
When you know what to look for, it becomes obvious. In the natural world all around us, intricate and beautiful patterns are everywhere: In the way that plants branch out as they grow, in the way clouds form and dissipate, from vast mountain ranges to tiny grains of sand, similar patterns repeat themselves, over and over again.
And yet this uncanny tendency of the universe to form self-similar patterns on every imaginable scale has been ignored by all official “science” for about 300 years since the Renaissance and the Newtonian scientific revolution. All of what we know as “modern science,” has been based on the Newtonian paradigm of the so-called “clockwork universe,” in which the entire cosmos and everything in it are considered to be machines. Machines that have no consciousness, but merely act out their predetermined roles in the world.
It was this dogmatic world view that led to the development of modern medicine and its emphasis on pharmaceutical drugs, or the Industrial Revolution with its emphasis on turning people into the slaves of industry. All this because living beings are considered to be automatons, programmed by their genes and powerless to create real change in themselves.

Hearts Have Their Own Brain and Consciousness
Feb 29th
Many believe that conscious awareness originates in the brain alone. Recent scientific research suggests that consciousness actually emerges from the brain and body acting together. A growing body of evidence suggests that the heart plays a particularly significant role in this process.
Far more than a simple pump, as was once believed, the heart is now recognized by scientists as a highly complex system with its own functional “brain.”
Research in the new discipline of neurocardiology shows that the heart is a sensory organ and a sophisticated center for receiving and processing information. The nervous system within the heart (or “heart brain”) enables it to learn, remember, and make functional decisions independent of the brain’s cerebral cortex. Moreover, numerous experiments have demonstrated that the signals the heart continuously sends to the brain influence the function of higher brain centers involved in perception, cognition, and emotional processing.

30 Year Study: Organic Farming Outperforms Conventional, Chemical Farming
Feb 26th
Based on a 30-year side-by-side trial [See full report pdf] of conventional and organic farming methods at Pennsylvania’s Rodale Institute, organic farming outperformed conventional farming in every category.
Rodale Institute, a nonprofit dedicated to pioneering organic farming through research, claims the Farming Systems Trial (FST)® at Rodale Institute is America’s longest running, side-by-side comparison of organic and chemical agriculture.
The farming trial started in 1981 for the purpose of studying what happens during the transition from chemical to organic agriculture.
After an initial decline in yields during the first few years of transition, Rodale Institute claims the organic system soon rebounded to match or surpass the conventional system. Over time, FST became a comparison between the long term potential of the two systems.

Ten Things That Every American Should Know About The Federal Reserve
Feb 13th
By Michael Snyder - The Economic Collapse
What would happen if the Federal Reserve was shut down permanently? That is a question that CNBC asked recently, but unfortunately most Americans don’t really think about the Fed much. Most Americans are content with believing that the Federal Reserve is just another stuffy government agency that sets our interest rates and that is watching out for the best interests of the American people. But that is not the case at all. The truth is that the Federal Reserve is a private banking cartel that has been designed to systematically destroy the value of our currency, drain the wealth of the American public and enslave the federal government to perpetually expanding debt. During this election year, the economy is the number one issue that voters are concerned about. But instead of endlessly blaming both political parties, the truth is that most of the blame should be placed at the feet of the Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve has more power over the performance of the U.S. economy than anyone else does. The Federal Reserve controls the money supply, the Federal Reserve sets the interest rates and the Federal Reserve hands out bailouts to the big banks that absolutely dwarf anything that Congress ever did. If the American people are ever going to learn what is really going on with our economy, then it is absolutely imperative that they get educated about the Federal Reserve.

The 6 Enemies of Food Storage
Feb 3rd
By Gaye Levy
Guest writer for Wake Up World
I recently decided that I should up the ante when it comes to the items in my food storage, and holy moly have you seen the price of beans lately? Last summer I purchased a goodly quantity of beans and paid $14.95 for each 25-pound sack. And now, $19.95 for the very same quantity. That is an increase of 33%! With those kinds of prices, you can bet that I am paying close attention to my food storage habits.
For the past year, I have explored many areas of preparedness, but now with the escalation in food prices, I have taken a keen interest in food and food storage. And whereas I know a little about a lot of things, food and food storage are two areas in which I have learned the most and am able to share the most.
